The RPCA meeting will provide a forum to discuss the functioning of markets and its impact on food and nutrition security in order to reach a consensus on measures to address any potential crises. Discussions will also focus on the impact of the Ebola epidemic on the regional agricultural market and on food and nutrition security, as well as its implications for the Network in terms of tools and methods available for collecting and analysing data in a crisis situation. In addition, the RPCA meeting will be an opportunity to review initial findings of the external evaluation of the Charter for Food Crisis Prevention and Management and to take stock of progress made in formulating National Resilience Priorities (NRP-AGIR) within the Global Alliance for Resilience (AGIR) Sahel and West Africa. Lastly, participants will have a chance to discuss the operationalisation of the Regional Food Security Reserve as well as next steps towards the formulation of a common tool for analysing and measuring resilience.
