Holland Tulip Festival May 9-13, 2019 TOUR ITINERARY 5:00AM: Motorcoach will depart from Lancaster, AC Moore store located in the Lancaster Shopping Center on the Oregon Pike/ Route 272 side of the store. 6:00AM: Motorcoach will depart from Harrisburg, AAA Central Penn, 2301 Paxton Church Rd, upper lot behind building for Toledo, OH with rest and meal stops en route. Upon arriving in Toledo, visit the Toledo Museum of Art. The museum is full of more than 30,000 works of art representing American and European paintings, the history of art in glass, ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian works, Asian and African art, medieval art, sculpture, decorative arts, graphic arts, and modern and contemporary art. Afterwards, check into your hotel to freshen up before dinner this evening at Georgio s Café International. Hotel: Wingate Inn, Sylvania, OH (Dinner) Friday, May 10: Depart for Holland, MI After breakfast, check out of your hotel and board your motorcoach for Holland, MI. Upon arrival in Holland, you will meet your Costumed Festival Tour Guide for a drive through the downtown and historic areas. Enjoy an inside look at Holland and the Tulip Festival. Then, visit Dutch Town, with its recreated bridges, canals, and gardens. Afterwards, check into your hotel for a two night stay with time to freshen up before dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner you will be treated to special evening entertainment. Hotel: TBD, Holland, MI (Breakfast, Dinner) Saturday, May 11: Blue Delft Factory, Dutch Marktplaats & Muziekgroep Parade This morning after breakfast at your hotel, board your motorcoach for a full day of sightseeing. Your first stop will be a visit to the Blue Delft Factory, the only Blue Delft factory in the United States which offers you an educational journey into the past. Your next stop will be a visit to the Dutch Marktplaats where you will enjoy local craftsmen demonstrating and displaying their forms of art such as Delft ware, Dutch lace, and Dutch foods. You just never know where you may encounter the Klompen Dancers. A group of 1000 dancers in teams of 12 dancers, perform old-world style Dutch dances in authentic turn-of-thecentury costumes and wooden shoes. Reserved seating is awaiting you at the Muziekgroep Parade with many bands and floats along a two-mile route which delights both young and old alike. Frankenmuth, Michigan Sunday, May 12: Windmill Gardens Tour, Dune Schooner ride & Frankenmuth Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out and boarding your motorcoach. Today you visit the home of America s one and only, 200 year old working Dutch Windmill and Gardens. Afterwards, you will take a unique ride on the sand dunes of Lake Michigan on the Dune Schooner before starting the trip home. This afternoon, check into your hotel in Frankenmuth, MI for overnight hotel accommodations with time to freshen up before meeting your local step-on guide for an area tour of Frankenmuth, MI. This evening, dinner will be at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant.
