Elect to Participate and Set Your 401(k) Contribution Percentages through Workday You will use Workday to elect to participate in the McGriff, Seibels & Williams, Inc. Employee 401(k) Plan (MSW 401(k) Plan) and to set your 401(k) contribution percentages. To do so, follow the steps below: 1. Go to Workday. 2. From the homepage or the All About Me screen, click the Benefits icon. 1
3. Under the Change heading, click the Benefits link. 4. On the next screen, in the field titled Benefits Event Type, click the drop-down arrow. 2
5. Select Enroll in Retirement Savings ONLY from the drop-down list. 6. Click the calendar symbol beside Benefit Event Date. 3
7. Select the Benefit Event Date from the calendar. 8. Click Submit. 4
9. Click the Open button. 10. To enroll in the 401(k) Plan and/or the Roth 401(k) (after-tax), click the radio button beside Elect. 5
11. Next, enter the percentage of pay you want to contribute each pay period. 12. Click Continue. 6
13. On the next screen, click the plus (+) symbol to add a beneficiary. 14. In the box that appears, click the Prompt symbol. 7
15. If your desired beneficiary is already in the system, click Beneficiary Persons, and then click the beneficiary s name. 16. If your desired beneficiary is not already in the system, click Create to add a new beneficiary. 8
17. After you click Create, click Add My Dependent from Enrollment to create a new dependent. 18. Determine whether or not you want your dependent to be your beneficiary as well. Click either the Yes or No button, and then click OK. 9
19. Enter the requested information for your dependent. The red asterisks beside items indicate which items you are required to answer. 20. Once you have filled out all of the required information for your dependent, click OK at the bottom of the page. 21. Select either Primary or Contingent Percentage for the new beneficiary, and then enter a percentage into the field below. 10
22. When you have made all of your beneficiary changes, click Continue. 23. After you review your election, scroll down and click the box beside I Agree. 11
24. Click Submit. 25. Click Print for a copy of your elections. 12
26. Click Done. Congratulations! You have now completed enrolling in the MSW 401(k) Plan through the Workday system. To elect your investment options, access PlanTrac, MSW s 401(k) website. Continue to the next section of this guide for instructions to elect investment options through PlanTrac. 13
Elect Investment Options through PlanTrac PlanTrac is MSW s 401(k) website that you will use to create your account and elect your investment funds. Follow the steps below: 1. Access the PlanTrac site by entering BBT.com/MyRetirementPlan into your browser and pressing enter. 2. On the logon screen of PlanTrac, click the link Create your new User ID and Password. 3. The first time you access PlanTrac, you will need your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to set up your account. If you enroll within 30 days of your benefits eligibility date (date of hire), your PIN is the last four digits of your Social Security number followed by your four-digit date of birth. Your PIN expires 30 days after your benefits eligibility date (date of hire). If your PIN has expired, call the Human Systems Service Center at 800-716-2455, option 6, to have your PIN reset. PIN example for associates who enroll within 30 days of their benefits eligible date: The last four digits of your Social Security Number: 6789 Your birth day: May 17 Your PIN: 67890517 14
4. Enter your Social Security Number (with dashes), your PIN (see above), and your birth date (in mm/dd/yyyy format). 5. Click Continue. 15
6. Follow the instructions on the screen to create your User ID and Password (case sensitive). 16
7. Click Submit. 8. Once you have created your User ID and Password, click the Log On link to return to the original logon screen. 17
9. Enter the User ID you created into the User ID field. Then, click Log On. 10. Enter your password. 18
11. Click Log On. 12. Before you elect how you want your contribution to be invested, review your account information. If any of the information is incorrect, you can update it in the Workday system. Click the Continue button. 19
13. Once you have reviewed your account information, click Continue. 14. You will now select how you want your contributions to be invested. Scroll up and down to view all of the funds listed. To learn more about a fund, click the name of the fund. Enter a percentage in the New Elections column beside the fund name. The percentage you enter indicates how much of your contribution will be invested in each elected fund. 20
15. When your investment percentages total 100%, click Continue. 16. You will be asked how you want dividends paid from the BB&T Common Stock Fund. You will need to make the dividend elections even if you are not electing to invest your contributions in 21
the BB&T Common Stock Fund. 17. Once you have made your BB&T Common Stock Fund dividend election, click Continue. 22
18. You will be given a Verify Future Investments screen that will summarize your elections. If the information is correct, click Submit to process your elections. (If you need to make changes to your elections, you can click Cancel and change them). 23
19. Once you click Submit, you will be given a confirmation number. Record your confirmation number for your records. 24
CHANGE 401(k) CONTRIBUTION PERCENTAGES DURING THE YEAR You can change your 401(k) contribution percentages at any time during the year. To do so, follow the steps below: 1. Go to Workday. 2. On the All About Me screen, click the Benefits icon. 25
3. Under Change, click Retirement Savings. 4. Click Edit. 26
5. Click the calendar symbol. 6. Enter the current day s date into the Event Date field. 27
7. Click OK. 8. On the next screen, review your savings percentages. 28
9. If desired, input a new contribution percentage on any of the 401(k) or Roth fields. 10. Click Continue. 29
11. To change the percentage for a beneficiary, enter a new percentage in the Primary Percentage/Contingent Percentage field. 12. To add a new beneficiary, follow steps 1 through 6 of Designate Beneficiaries of this guide. 13. Click Done. Questions?
