Biographies JAMES DUBOIS Conference Chairman James is a long-standing Cambridge regular, having served on the Conference Working Party for some years and was Conference Chairman in 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2014. He has been a practitioner for over 40 years and has now sold-out as an equity partner from Body Dubois Associates LLP, a small general practice in Thames Ditton, Surrey. He still acts as a consultant for the firm working with a variety of clients, many in the property world. RON BAKER Ron started his CPA career in 1984 with KPMG s Private Business Advisory Services in San Francisco. He is the founder of VeraSage Institute, the leading international think tank dedicated to educating professionals. He is an accomplished author with his latest book Implementing Value Pricing: A Radical Business Model for Professional Firms now available. Ron has toured the world, spreading his valuepricing message to over 120,000 professionals. REBECCA BENNEYWORTH Rebecca is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, lecturer, writer and consultant on a variety of taxes. She lectures extensively throughout the UK, to accountants, business people and also to HMRC and the Treasury. She was named Best Tax Lecturer at the Lexis Nexis Taxation Awards in 2007, and was awarded an MBE for services to the tax profession in 2012.

DR PAUL BOOTH Paul is Technical and Development Manager at ICAEW s IT Faculty. He specialises in software issues affecting accountants and manages the faculty s regular surveys of the use of IT in accountancy practices and in businesses. Paul is a member of the British Computer Society, a registered PRINCE2 practitioner and ICAEW s main source of expertise on XBRL. GLYN EDWARDS Glyn had seven years experience with HMRC before joining CCH in 1996. He specialises in providing VAT advice on complexities such as land and property, the not-for-profit sector and Partial Exemption as well as dealing with VAT disputes and tribunal work. Glyn is an experienced presenter and provides seminars for CCH clients and outside organisations. JOHN O DONNELL John is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and joined ICAEW s Practice Support Services (PSS) in 2011 as a practice consultant. PSS offers many valuable services to members and John has been involved in detailed ad-hoc consultancy assignments including facilitating partner retreats; he also gives and chairs presentations and has hosted conferences. JOHN SELWOOD John is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and independent training consultant, who lectures for major accountancy practices, professional bodies, training companies and publishers. He speaks on financial reporting, auditing, money laundering and company law. John also regularly writes for Audit & Beyond and is the author of Core Auditing Standards for Practitioners. BOB TRUNCHION Bob is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and tax principal with MacIntyre Hudson LLP and head of tax training at MacIntyre Hudson Advisory Services. He has a wide range of tax knowledge and lectures on a range of subjects and is also a specialist in a number of niche industries. Bob was a major technical contributor for Legal Network Television and has appeared on national radio and television talking about taxation matters. DEAN WOOTTEN Dean qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 1988 and spent a number of years in practice, over five at partner level. He has been involved in tax training since 1994 and lectures throughout the UK on a wide variety of tax matters focusing on the practical aspects of the issues presented. Together with Chris Jones, Dean was a founder director of Online Tutors Limited, a company specialising in providing online CPD tax training. MICHAEL WRIGHT Michael joined Mattioli Woods in 2004 after graduating in Law at the University of Leicester. He has progressed through the company and is now a senior wealth management consultant. Michael deals primarily in advising owner managers of SMEs and high net-worth individuals on general investing and wealth management, the use of trust and other specialist vehicles, as well as specialist pension vehicles such as SIPP and SSAS.
