AA Pension Scheme Prudential AVCs Online Access User Guide
Welcome to Prudential AVCs online As a member of the AA Pension Scheme you now have the option to manage your Prudential AVC account via the internet. This short guide is designed to assist you, first to access your online account and then to introduce you to the online options available to you. This facility does not replace your annual statement; it gives you real time access to your investments allowing you the opportunity to switch existing funds or redirect future contributions to different funds. If you have any difficulties accessing the site you should contact the Prudential, their contact details are included on page 3 of this guide. Where do I access the site? The website address is www.pru-pensions.co.uk You can either reach this site direct by typing the address in your browser or you can access the site via the AVCs online the link on the My AVCs page of the AA Pension Scheme website www.aapensions.com. Who can I contact for help? If you encounter any problems with the prudential AVC site you should contact the Prudential, their details are as follows: 0845 6000 383 If you call the Prudential, they will need to verify who you are, to do this they will need to check details such as your National Insurance Number, Date of Birth and address (including postcode). Please have all of these details to hand if you call. 3
How do I log in? When you reach the site you will be presented with the following log in screen. The first time you log into the site you will need the following information: The Scheme number which is AB56 Your National Insurance Number which you can find on your payslip For the purpose of your first log in your username is the Scheme number (AB56) followed by your National Insurance Number (for example XY123456Z) Using the example National Insurance Number your Username would be AB56XY123456Z Your password for your first login is your National Insurance Number. Once you have completed your first log in you will be asked to change your username and password as well as to provide some memorable details so that if you need to contact the Prudential s Service Centre they will be able to verify who you are. 4
What facilities are available online? Once you have logged in, you have the option to view your personal details or to manage your plan. Select the area of the site you want to visit by clicking on the relevant link in the page (shown above), the options available under each section are: Personal Details View or amend your personal details View your organisation details Change your Password or Username Manage my Plan View you Plan View your Funds View your payment history View the status of changes (Transaction History) Change your Investment Choice Switch your Funds Further details and example screens are included on the following pages. 5
Personal details screens The first screen gives an overview of the personal details section and the actions you can perform. Within the personal details screen you can update your name, for example if it is incorrectly spelt or your name has changed, please remember that any change would also need to be confirmed to HR Operations at Fanum House. If your Date of Birth or National Insurance Number is incorrect, you should notify HR Operations. 6
Personal details screens continued The Organisation details screen is for information only and you cannot update this screen. Note: Please ignore the reference to pensionable salary on this screen; the Prudential use this site for a number of different pension arrangements, some of which store pensionable salary on this site. 7
Personal details screens continued The change password screen allows you to change your Username and password as well as giving you the opportunity to update your verification details. Remember when you finish using the site you should exit using the Log off button at the top of the page (do not close your browser to exit the system). 8
Manage my Plan The first screen gives an overview as well as the links through View my Plan and Make a Change to access further detail. Clicking the View my Plan link takes you to the following page from which you can view your AVC fund. 9
View my Plan Below is an example of the View my Plan screen from which you will see this provides an indication of the current value of your Prudential AVC funds, your current monthly AVC and the current investment allocation your future contributions to the Prudential. To return to the menu click the site., you use this button to return to the previous screen throughout this section of Note: The Current Salary field on this screen will not be populated as the Prudential do not need this information. 10
My Funds Below is an example of the My Funds screen, you will see an icon for each type of fund you invest in. Please note that you will not necessarily have all of the icons that you see in the example below, you will only see those relevant to the types of fund in which you have AVCs invested. To see the values of the relevant funds click on the icon. 11
Payment Summary The Payment Summary screen allows you to view details of payments you have made in Prudential AVCs over the previous 12 months, below is an example of the summary screen. Where you see the icon you can click this icon for further information. To see a breakdown of the payments over the last 12 months, click the icon. 12
Payment Summary continued To view a breakdown of how the months contribution was invested click you will then see how the contribution was split between funds, the unit price and the number of units purchased (or in the case of the With Profits Fund, the amount invested). 13
Make a Change If you wish to make any changes to either the funds in which future contributions are invested and / or to switch any funds accumulated to date, click the Make a Change link to view the following screen. Once you have updated your choice you will need to click the submit button. This screen provides the menu from which you can choose to change your investment choice or switch your invested funds. 14
Change your Investment Choice Click the Change your Investment Choice, input the revised percentage split, then click to proceed. 15
Switch your Funds Click the Switch your Funds link, input the percentages of your fund to be moved into or out of those funds in which you have investments or want allocate investments to, and then click to proceed. 16
