GAMBA gift card fund-raiser is back for the holidays! Frankly, most fundraisers are a tough sell for those who must promote them. Many people buy the items, even though they think they are highly over-priced and of limited quality, as they want to help the organization. We have a better way Geneva Area Music Boosters Association (GAMBA) has partnered with ShopWithScrip to sell gift cards to restaurants and retailers - that you already spend money with - to provide real value to those supporting the organization. How it works: Mark the gift cards you would like to buy from the two different order forms (one is for shopping and on-line retailers, the other is for restaurants, travel, movies, grocery, gas, hair and spa) Total up the forms and write a check to GAMBA Turn in the forms to the music directors or to Scott/Samantha Lambert by Friday. We will place orders each Monday. The gift cards will be ordered and delivered by the next Friday (not sent home with students for safety reasons, we will make arrangements to deliver). A couple additional notes on the gift card program I buy gift cards at Giant Eagle to earn FuelPerks, why would I do this instead? We understand - many people have told us that they buy gift cards at Giant Eagle to get FuelPerks and buying gift cards from GAMBA will result in losing those. Good point. Our solution? Buy Giant Eagle gift cards from GAMBA and use those to purchase gift cards at Giant Eagle you will still get FuelPerks and GAMBA will get the % noted from the Giant Eagle gift card purchase. We have tested this and using Giant Eagle gift cards to purchase other retailer gift cards does get FuelPerks. Everyone wins! Additionally, some gift cards have very high percentages that go to GAMBA with this program. Consider buying those directly from GAMBA to maximize the help you give to our fantastic music programs! Delivery of gift cards Please understand that gift cards, once activated, are pretty much like cash, and we frequently get some very large orders for gift cards at each holiday. We will contact you to make arrangements to deliver the cards to you instead of sending home the gift cards with your kids from school. This also avoids the directors having to manage these and is a much safer situation for your kids and the gift cards. Plus, Scott and Samantha Lambert are fantastic people who you would love to get to know better. If this is unacceptable or problematic, please contact us before you place your order and we will figure something out, as the safety of your kids is the most important thing here. After the holidays After the holiday season, we do place monthly orders. Turn the order forms in by the last day of the month and we will place the orders and have the cards in a few days. We also try to maintain some Giant Eagle cards in stock contact us and we probably will have those available to supply right away.
