1 Introduction Welcome to Group Pensions Online from Aviva Your employer has set up a Pension Scheme, which you are currently a member of. As a member of this scheme your employer has arranged for online access to your pension fund, through Aviva s online service, www.aviva.ie/grouppensions. This manual will assist you as you begin using the website. You will be able to view a wide range of information online that is relevant to your pension fund: Fund Value information Premium overview Employer & Trustee details* Details of protection and disability cover benefits* Details of transfer values history* History of retained benefits* In addition, our customer Fund Centre on www.aviva.ie provides an array of fund information in keeping you up to date with the latest fund information, you can: Monitor performance data on individual funds Check the latest and historic fund prices Download monthly fund factsheets Chart the performance of the funds, sectors and indices View Customer Fund Guides - to help understand the potential risks and rewards of investing in some of our key funds. For your convenience you can access Group Pensions Online and the Fund Centre at any time. Should you have any queries in relation to your Pension Fund please contact the scheme Trustee or your Financial Broker, where applicable. 2 Glossary Our online enquiries service provides information to Financial Brokers, Employers, Trustees and Members/Employees for Defined Contribution Schemes and Individual Employer sponsored PRSA s. Below are some words that are used for both Defined Contribution schemes and Employer sponsored PRSA s that have similar meanings and are used in this manual. Where Member is referenced it applies to Employee. Where Scheme is referenced it applies to Plan. Where Premium is referenced it applies to Contribution. Where Payment is referenced it applies to Contribution. 2
3 How to access your pension information online Log onto www.aviva.ie/grouppensions. This will bring you to the Existing customers section of our customer website. Scroll down to the bottom of this page to the Group Pensions section. In this section you can access our Fund Centre to view an array of fund information as mentioned previously on page 1. Also, in the Group Pensions section you can access the group pensions enquiries system to view your pension fund information, simply click on the Sign In button. Enter your Client ID and Password (you will receive confirmation of your personal details from your Employer, Trustee, Financial Broker or the Group Pensions Online Support Team. When entered click on the Login button. This will bring you into the enquiries homepage. If this is the first time that you have accessed this application, terms and conditions will automatically appear. Please read, if you are happy to accept these terms and conditions, scroll down and click on I Accept. The following screen will appear. To access the enquiry system, simply click on e-group Pensions Enquiries as shown below. CLICK 3
4 Accessing Your Details When you click on e-group Pensions Enquiries, you will automatically be taken into the following screen, where the scheme number and scheme name, which you are a member of, will be listed. To access details of your pension fund simply click on the scheme number as shown below. CLICK 4
5 Member Details Page When you click on the scheme number, this will bring you into the Member Details page. This page gives an overview of your details. A list of all viewing options will appear in the Menu Box on the left-hand side of the screen (as shown in the example below). You can choose from any of these listed options to view more details about your pension fund e.g. employer and trustee details, fund values, premium overview and payments etc, just by clicking on the one you want to view. 6 Viewing Fund Values 1. You can view your fund value and details of invested funds by clicking on Fund Values as shown below, this will bring you into the Fund Values page. 2. You also have access to fund factsheets which provide valuable information about the funds you are invested in, such as performance, asset splits and top 10 holdings. You can access these by clicking on the fund name as shown below. 1 2 Remember our Fund Centre on our customer website provides an array of up to date fund information including fund performance and prices. Visit this section on www.aviva.ie for all fund information on your pension funds. 6
7 Viewing Unit Allocation While in the Fund Values page you will notice that there are plus and minus buttons on the left hand side of each fund. Clicking on these buttons will give you a breakdown of allocated units for each fund. PLUS AND MINUS BUTTONS 7
8 Viewing Transfer Values, Protection and Retained Benefit In the left hand Menu Box you also have options to view details of transfer values, retained benefits, protection benefits etc, just by clicking on these options in the left hand Menu Box. Details of Transfer History are shown below as an example. CLICK TO VIEW FURTHER DETAILS 8
9 Viewing Premium Overview The system also provides a full overview of all payments received and applied to your pension fund. You can view these by clicking on Premium Overview in the left hand Menu Box. You can view your and your employers contributions, cost of risk benefits, AVC payments etc, on this page. CLICK 9
10 Viewing Payments Applied When you are in the Premium Overview page, you will see an option in the left hand Menu Box called Payments Applied, by clicking on this, it will bring you into the Payments Applied page. This page will populate a history of all payments applied to your pension fund. CLICK 10

12 Frequently Asked Questions Q. I am having problems logging in? A. Ensure your password is typed in lowercase. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact the Group Pensions Online Support Team on 01 77 65 444 or email us at gponline@aviva.com. Q. I have forgotten my password? Q. What do I do if my account is locked out? Q. Can I change my Client ID/username? Q. I have a query in relation to my scheme, who do I contact? A. If you have forgotten your password, you can call the Group Pensions Online Support Team on 01 77 56 444 or email us at gponline@aviva.com. A. If you enter your Client ID/username and password incorrectly 3 times, the system will automatically lock. You must call the Group Pensions Online Support Team to validate your details A. Your Client ID/username is allocated to you by Aviva, it is not possible to change. A. Please contact the scheme Trustee or your Financial Broker where applicable. 12
13 Jargon Busters Allocation Rate A percentage of a person s money that has been invested in a fund, the remainder is spent on charges. Annuity Rate The rate applied to a lump sum to calculate the level of regular income payments that the lump sum will provide you with. The income may be payable for the whole of the remainder of a person s life or for a fixed period of time. AVC (Additional Voluntary Contribution) Members of pension schemes can make additional payments into their existing pension scheme (or into a separate special pension arrangement) to supplement the pension benefits they will receive on retirement. These are subject to limits the Revenue Commissioners have set on the level of additional payments individuals can make in any one year. Defined Contribution Scheme A pension scheme where the owner of the policy and/or their employer pays a regular premium or contribution. The retirement benefit is not guaranteed and will depend upon contributions made, performance of the fund in which the contributions are invested and the annuity rates available on retirement. Fund A pool of financial assets into which premiums are invested to produce an investment return. Examples include property funds, managed funds and with profit funds. Strictly speaking, these are investment funds rather than just funds. Group Pension Scheme A pension scheme, which an employer sets up for the benefit of his/her employees. Occupation Pension Scheme A pension scheme arrange by an employer for the benefit of one or more employers. Premium or Contribution The amount payable by the employer/employee of a scheme/policy to the life assurance company at agreed regular intervals. Transfer Value When a member leaves a pension scheme they may have an option to transfer the value of the pension fund to a new similar pension arrangement. Trustee The person or persons appointed by the owner of a scheme/policy, which is placed in trust. The duty of a trustee is to look after the interests of the beneficiaries and they must comply with the directions of the policy scheme/owner set out in the trust document. Unit A unit is a measure used to identify the policyholder s individual share in unit linked fund. 13
