It assumes that you invest $1,000 or $10,000 in the CollegeAdvantage Direct Plan for the time period shown and then redeem all of your shares at the end of this period. It assumes that such redemption is used solely to pay qualified higher education expenses. It also assumes a 5% return on your investment each year and that the Fund s operating expenses remain the same. The example is hypothetical; your actual costs and returns may be higher or lower. The asset-based fees may vary over time in accordance with agreements governing the Investment Options or due to changes in the underlying mutual fund expenses. 1-800-AFFORD-IT (233-6734) CollegeAdvantage.com 7

Investment returns and Unit value will fluctuate, so the Units, when sold, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Performance is shown at Net Asset Value (NAV), which represents performance of the Investment Option reflecting plan expenses and those of the underlying mutual funds. Blended Index is a customized index composed of market indexes for the mutual funds in an Investment Option, weighted according to relative target allocations for the funds. (1) The Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is based on balance amount. Rates may change at any time. (2) All APYs shown assume CDs remain on deposit until maturity. A penalty will be imposed for early withdrawal; early withdrawal fees may reduce earnings. Rates may change at any time.
