As the merger resulted in two branches so close to one another, we carefully considered the benefits of each location. The Plaza Road branch offers easier customer access, so we chose to keep that location and close Highway 21 & 73. Hometown Bank Welcome Guide 7

Frequently Asked Questions About the Merger Who is Hometown Bank? Hometown Bank is a small, community-minded bank headquartered in Fond du Lac. It is privately owned by local investors who purchased the State Bank of St Cloud (a few miles east of Fond du Lac) in 1998. The bank has total assets of $210 million and 43 employees throughout its five branches in Fond du Lac, Appleton, St. Cloud and Wautoma. Hometown Bank s approach to banking has remained steadfast and focused on community banking and local decision making with a devotion to the communities it serves. You can read more about Hometown Bank at HTBWI.com. Will Farmers Exchange Bank change its name to Hometown Bank? Yes, after the full merger is completed. This is scheduled to occur the weekend of February 20 and 21. You may start to see the Hometown brand before the actual merger weekend as we begin to migrate Farmers Exchange Bank to Hometown Bank. On Monday morning, February 22, all Farmers Exchange Bank locations will be fully coverted to Hometown Bank. How will the bank merger impact me as a customer of Farmers Exchange Bank? We are working hard toward a seamless transition. Until full conversion of all systems, on February 22, 2016 you will see minimal changes to your day-to-day banking. What does this mean for me? You will see the same exceptional service and commitment to the community while working with the same bankers who know you best. Additionally: You will see a wider array of products, and you can expect to see some minor changes in the products you currently use. A wider network of banking centers will be available to meet your needs after the conversion. Our increased size and scale will provide increased lending limits for our customers. Most importantly, Hometown Bank makes decisions locally, has a strong balance sheet and operates with the goal of helping communities in Wisconsin. What will happen to the Farmers Exchange Bank employees? Hometown will retain all the Farmers Exchange Bank employees. Farmers Exchange Bank employees are helping to create a smooth transition during the merger and Hometown Bank is proud to welcome the employees into the family. After the merger, will everything be centralized at Hometown Bank s headquarters in Fond du Lac? Some operations have been centralized, but Hometown will maintain local decision making and continue a strong regional presence. Is Hometown Bank active in the community? Yes. As a community bank, Hometown is committed to the communities we serve and Wisconsin as a whole. Our people are active, engaged and focused on making our community a better place to live. You will find us volunteering at local schools and non profits, speaking at events and serving at various leadership levels of local and state organizations. Where can I learn more about Hometown Bank s products and services? You can learn more at www. HTBWI.com. You can also call Hometown Bank toll-free at 877-922-1790 or visit any of our branches. How can I contact the bank if I have any questions? You may continue working with your local banking representative or team members. If they are unable to answer your questions, they will find the answer and get back to you. 8 Hometown Bank Welcome Guide

General Information, Locations, ATMs and Hours Will my checking account number change? Checking accounts: While 98 percent of all account numbers have remained the same, a small number of our checking customers were notified that their account numbers would be changed. Those changes occurred on or before January 15, 2016. If a change was needed, you would have been contacted. Savings account customers: A minimal number of savings account numbers will change over conversion weekend. If your account is impacted, you will receive a letter in the mail. What will happen with the Wautoma location? Since the merger will result in our having two locations in Wautoma, the Farmers Exchange Bank branch at W7452 State Road 21 & 73 will permanently close on Friday, February 19 at 5 p.m. The Farmers Exchange Bank employees from this location will relocate to the existing Hometown Bank branch just one mile west at 105 Plaza Road in Wautoma. Beginning Monday, February 22, 2016, customers will be able to continue their banking services at the combined branch location at 105 Plaza Road. Will the merger affect the hours at the branch I currently use? Branch hours will remain the same in the weeks leading up to and in the months following the conversion date. You will be notified in advance of any permanent changes to hours at the branch you use. Will the phone number of my branch remain the same? Yes, and the phone number at the FEB Wautoma branch will automatically forward to the HTB Plaza Road location. All toll free numbers will remain the same. Will ATM locations change? The ATM located in Neshkoro will be branded as Hometown Bank and continue to be available to use. The ATM at the Farmers Exchange Wautoma location at W7452 State Road 21 & 73 will no longer be available effective the close of business February 19, 2016. You will have access to Hometown Bank ATMs in Fond du Lac and Plaza Road Wautoma as well. Extra convenience More offices and ATMs enhanced online, mobile and telephone banking and all the services you need, all in one place. Hometown Bank Welcome Guide 9

Frequently Asked Questions Deposit Account Information Will my bank statement look different than what I have now? Yes. After we complete the systems integration in February, you will begin to receive Hometown Bank formatted statements in the mail or sent electronically if you are enrolled in e-statements. For security purposes, we will discontinue hand delivery of statements at our branches. 80 SHEBOYGAN ST FOND DU LAC WI 54935-4333 When will I receive my final Farmers Exchange Bank statement? All customers with a checking, savings or money market account will receive a Farmers Exchange Bank statement through February 19, 2016 (cutoff statement). This final statement will be mailed the week of February 22, 2016 by its usual delivery method (mail or e-statement). At the time of this cutoff statement, any interest earned for the period (where applicable) will be credited to your account. The generation of a cutoff statement may result in two statements being processed and mailed to you during the month of conversion, one for the period of your last statement date to the conversion date and a statement covering the period from the conversion date to your next regular statement date. Due to the account changeover mid-month, any monthly account maintenance or per item fees will be waived for the first Hometown Bank full statement cycle. Your statement cycle will not change. When will I receive my first Hometown Bank account statement? Your statement will be mailed or sent electronically (if enrolled in Hometown Bank e-statements) about the same time of the month you receive your current Farmers Exchange Bank statement. You have the option of either delivery method. We encourage you to consider enrolling in Hometown Bank e-statements to save time and costs and gain added security. Simply visit HTBWI.com/e-Statements.aspx to see how, or ask one of our friendly team members. Easy to follow instructions are also on page 30 of this guide. I currently receive all my account statements in one combined statement, will this continue? If you currently receive a combined statement (one statement with multiple accounts), this service will be temporarily discontinued. After conversion, our banking team will perform the work necessary to resume the service for you. How can I obtain copies of my deposit statements after February 22, 2016? Enroll in Hometown Bank s online statements, and your future statements will be available for you online. To request a prior paper statement, visit one of our branches or call our Customer Service Center at 877-922-1790. Will my branch still be able to provide my transaction history and print copies of checks that were processed prior to February 22, 2016? Yes, Hometown Bank retains past statement and check records per its retention schedule. After the system conversion, your former FEB records will continue to be available upon request at your local branch. 10 Hometown Bank Welcome Guide

What if I have deposits at both banks? Should I move some for FDIC purposes? How will that work? Both Farmers Exchange Bank and Hometown Bank are FDIC insured institutions. As a result of the merger, on February 19, 2016, the deposits from FEB will be combined with the deposits at Hometown Bank. The combined balances will determine whether a depositor has exceeded the FDIC insurance limit, except that deposits at FEB prior to the merger will generally receive separate insurance coverage for six months from the date of the merger. This grace period provides an opportunity to restructure accounts, if necessary, to ensure the accounts do not exceed the insurance threshold. Certificates of Deposit from FEB are generally separately insured until the earliest maturity date after the end of the six-month grace period. Will my routing number change? Yes, your routing number will change to 075906854 on February 22, 2016. However, items with the former FEB routing number, including FEB checks, will continue to be routed and processed correctly with the exception of incoming wires. See page 13 for wire instructions. Will I still be able to use my Farmers Exchange Bank checks or will I receive new checks? You may continue to use your existing Farmers Exchange Bank checks until you are ready to reorder. When you reorder after February 22, 2016, use Hometown Bank s routing number, 075906854, for your new checks. You can reorder at any Hometown Bank branch or by calling our Customer Service Center at 877-922-1790. Will I automatically receive new deposit slips? New deposit slips will not be needed. You may continue to use your existing Farmers Exchange Bank deposit slips until you are ready to reorder. Will the features of my account be the same? Our conversion team has worked to ensure that minimal (if any) changes to your account will occur. To review the specific details of your new Hometown Bank account, please read the Account Conversion Chart that begins on page 15 for personal and 20 for business accounts. Will my account fees change? Much work has been done to ensure that only minimal changes will occur. Please see the Consumer Account Conversion Chart on page 15 for specific details. Other miscellaneous account charges for services like wire transfers, stop payments, overdrafts, etc. are published for your convenience on pages 17 and 18. The same holds true for FEB business customers. Please refer to our Business Account Conversion Chart on page 20 to see how your current account will merge into Hometown Bank s system. Other miscellaneous account charges for services like wire transfers, stop payments, overdrafts, etc. are published for your convenience on pages 17 and 18. I received a new Truth-in-Savings in the mail. How does that notice affect my account? The new Truth-in-Savings Disclosure sent to Carefree Checking, Interest Checking, Savings, Money Market and Health Savings account holders is a disclosure that covers the new terms and conditions of your account with Hometown Bank. It outlines your account s minimum balances and other terms and conditions that may be different from your Farmers Exchange account. The Truth-in-Savings for Savings, Money Market and Health Savings accounts lists a $5 paper statement fee. Does that apply to my account at conversion? No. While we encourage e-statements, the paper statement fee that may have been noted on your Truth-in-Savings will be waived for FEB customers converting to Hometown Bank for up to 12 months (and potentially longer). The Truth-In-Savings you received in the mail is the standard disclosure that applies to new accounts opened. Your account migrated from Farmers Exchange and therefore that fee will be waived. How do I enroll in e-statements? Enrollment in Online Banking provides you access to e-statements. Easy-to-follow instructions begin on page 30, or visit our website at HTBWI.com Will overdraft protection for my personal checking account continue? Yes, your overdraft protection will continue as normal. Debit and Credit Cards Will I be able to continue using my Farmers Exchange Bank Visa debit card? No, it will be deactivated Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2 a.m. Your Hometown Bank debit MasterCard will be mailed on February 11, 2016. Upon receipt, there are Action Items you need to take that are outlined on the letter included with your card. Please see further details on page 21 of this Welcome Guide. Hometown Bank Welcome Guide 11

Frequently Asked Questions Can I continue to use my Farmers Exchange Bank VISA credit card? Watch for your new VISA credit card to arrive in the mail the week of February 29, 2016. You will get a letter from Elan notifying you of this change the week of February 15. You can continue to use your Farmers Exchange card for approximately 90 days after you receive your Hometown Bank card, however, we strongly advise you to activate your new Hometown Bank card as soon as you receive it and destroy your current Farmers Exchange Bank card. Once you activate your new card, your old card will no longer work. Your new Hometown Bank card will have the latest chip-enabled EMV technology. Your expiration date may have changed, along with the 3-digit security code on the reverse side of your card. If you have any bills automatically charged to your credit card, please be sure to contact those service providers with your new expiration date and security code. Personal Online Banking and Electronic Services Will my online banking access change? Yes. Any direct deposits you currently have through Farmers Exchange Bank will be forwarded directly to your new Hometown Bank account for deposit. If individuals or companies currently direct deposit to your account, you should provide notice to the sender of the transaction to let them know that your bank s routing number has changed. Your notice to the sender should indicate that your new Hometown Bank routing number will be: 075906854 for all transactions after February 22, 2016. A courtesy form is on page 39 to aid in that request. If you do not notify the sender of this change, your direct deposit will continue to post for some time after the effective date of February 22, 2016, however, to ensure that all future deposits are received on time, it is advisable to give the sender this courtesy notice within a reasonable time period of 30-60 days after February 22, 2016. What about automatic payments made from my Farmers Exchange Bank deposit account? All previously authorized automatic payments will continue as normal. Please use Hometown Bank s routing number (075906854) to set up future automatic payments or transfers after February 22, 2016. I have automatic funds transfer between my deposit accounts.
