Tomik+Partner Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft Steuerberatungsgesellschaft Auditing services for companies and corporate groups Modern services on par with clients

Auditors and tax advisors under one roof Tomik + Partner Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft Steuerberatungsgesellschaft was founded in 2010 and is continuing a consulting tradition that goes back more than 30 years to the Tomik + Tomik partnership that existed previously. Meanwhile, the partnership has grown to include four auditors, consolidating and expanding our expertise in the area of auditing. Has extensive experience in auditing larger medium-sized companies with international activities

Team Besides the four auditors, we also have a team of skilled and experienced members of staff available to provide assistance during an audit: n Tax advisors n Graduates n Specialised tax experts n Accounting technicians n Tax clerks

Expertise Each year sees an increase in demand and the range of services offered in the audit section. The following list gives an overview of the auditing services we provide. Statutory audits of annual financial statements and consolidated financial statements The core business of the audit division consists of conducting the legally required audits of annual financial statements and consolidated financial statements for medium-sized and large companies. Voluntary audits of annual financial statements Frequently, we are also mandated to carry out voluntary audits which our clients can use to validate the annual financial statements that have been drawn up, e.g. vis à vis credit institutions. Professional consolidations Upon request, we provide support with the preparation of consolidated financial statements or with the bookkeeping and accounting for several companies. A consolidated view ensures that the overall development is clearly displayed. IAS/IFRS and Financial Reporting Increasingly, our clients in the audit division are also being confronted with issues about international accounting, such as assessment in the light of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Some of our clients are German subsidiary companies of international groups. For these clients we also provide support with the cross-border reporting of data for the annual statement, making the adaptations needed to conform to international accounting standards.

Specific audits, e.g. n Company formation audits, audits in accordance with the German Reorganisation Act n Audits in accordance with the German Real Estate Brokers and Developers Directive n Assessment of the declaration of completeness for the Duales System Deutschland n Trust audits Business consulting We support our clients with business issues, including: n Optimising accounting and reporting n Succession planning n Business planning n Restructuring n Company valuation n Restructuring plans n Cost and activity accounting n Optimising credit ratings

Systematic use of IT We use modern IT tools in order to be able to perform the tasks in the audit division efficiently. n Our electronic worksheet system is based on a risk-oriented audit approach, with worksheets being created and cross-linked to form a cohesive system in which information in the individual worksheets is comparable and interchangeable. n Our reporting is program-oriented and provides support for the entire audit process by being linked to the worksheet system. In addition, a variety of software tools are available to analyse accounts, financial ratios and other data. n Our digital document management system (DMS) reduces paths and speeds up the flow of information - the paperless audit is increasingly becoming a reality. n Modern terminal server applications, in conjunction with our DMS and the electronic worksheets, enable auditors to work remotely with full connectivity to the audit office anywhere where there is a reliable internet connection. n In order to be able to conduct in-depth analyses of the large amounts of data accumulated by our clients we use ACL (Audit Command Language), the world s leading data analysis software. This enables hundreds of thousands of data transaction records from a host of different IT systems to be analysed, filtered or collated for the purposes of special evaluation, all in a matter of seconds.

What makes us different? Small enough but also big enough With four auditors and an appropriate selection of audit assistants, specialisation by subject area is possible. It also ensures that even if a colleague is absent, the mandate can still be carried out properly. At the same time, our clients still view us as being uncomplicated and our service is characterised by our personal relationships with our clients. Auditors and tax consultants under one roof While capital market-oriented firms are increasingly having to differentiate strictly between auditing and consulting and, to some extent, calls for auditor rotation on a regular basis are getting louder, we believe that for owner-managed medium-sized enterprises - our target group - it makes sense to have auditors and tax consultants under one roof and to form long-term client relationships. They are the basis of a good understanding of the company that is to be audited and for a trusting cooperation with its owners. Where a successful partnership with a tax consultant already exists, we can also accept pure audit mandates, upon request, during which we coordinate closely with the tax consultant. Auditors on-site in your company Our organisational hierarchy is flat. Instead of managing a number of audit mandates and assistants, our auditors are fully involved in each audit mandate and you can contact them on-site. We think that checklists are no substitute for the auditor s personal involvement in the mandate or the impressions that are gained on-site. Personnel continuity, training and experience We strive for a high level of staff continuity so that our clients do not have to explain their companies again and again every year. The partners represent many years of personnel continuity and all the auditors working for us are firmly rooted in Eastern Westphalia. All the professionals and the audit assistants have studied business and only assume responsibility for a mandate on the basis of several years of practical professional experience. Quality assurance We are authorised to carry out audits, as prescribed by law, of annual financial statements and consolidated financial statements. The basis for this is our quality assurance system, whose structures and effectiveness are regularly reviewed by an independent auditor within the scope of a quality check (peer review).

What can we do for you? We too are striving for sound growth. We welcome the opportunity to meet new clients and will always be glad to arrange a personal no-obligation initial consultation.
