Not-for-Profit Tax Nonprofit Industry Update and GAAP Refresher (NIU) 8-Hour Program This program provides a 2017 update of the issues at the forefront of the industry to assist the auditor in assessing risk. It also includes updates to FASB guidance through early 2017 with a specific section on the new notfor-profit financial statements, complete with disclosure examples. We will also discuss the FASB s decisions to date related to the accounting for grants, as well as a discussion of the AICPA s task force recommendations related to revenue recognition. The GAAP refresher portion of the program includes coverage of some significantly enhanced sections in the nonprofit audit guide and nonprofit Technical Practice Aids (AICPA). This course also provides an update on issues relative to the Single Audit and the AICPA s Audit Quality Initiative. Practitioners working with nonprofit organizations in public practice and nonprofit industry accountants who need to keep on top of current accounting and disclosure requirements.
