Introduction: This review document is separated into two sections. First section is a general overview to highlight major document restructure, formatting, terminology and major changes, supplemented with a detailed listing of changes by clause, annex and table. The detailed listing includes a Comments Column which can be utilized to record comments. General Overview API Foreword re-written and there is a now a new ISO Introduction. Some original paragraph numbers have changed; however, many still align with the 17 th Edition. Table numbers have changed and all of the tables with US customary dimensions are now located in the Annexes. The term is now used instead of Section. The word When has replaced the use of the word if. The new 6A no longer has Appendices. The new term is Annex. All previous (old) Appendices were identified in the front of the book as non-mandatory. The new Annexes are instead identified as either Informative or Normative. Informative Annexes are as the name implies for information purposes, while Normative annexes are mandatory for compliance. Back-pressure valves, bull plugs, valve-removal plugs, hubs, pressure-boundary penetration, running and test tools, and wear bushings added to the document scope. NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-1 replaces NACE MR-0175:1999 Valves considered safety valves must be tested to PR2 levels Added Temperature Class N: -50 o F to 140 o F (-46 o C to 60 o C) Added partial pressure stamping for DD, EE, FF and HH material classes (NL required if no limit) Added material class ZZ for proven history sour-service applications outside of NACE PSL 1 material requires quenching practice and cooling media now be reported Removed minimum lateral expansion requirements for PSL 4 materials.
