Warranty Offer I 2008 Valeo Service strives for continuous improvement of our product range and service in order to provide a world class offer to the UK market. The company s Warranty & Customer Returns policy is an important aspect of our overall service offer. Our warranty procedure covers parts which have failed in service or fitment due to defects in materials or workmanship. All other returns such as over or under deliveries, pricing discrepancies, goods damaged in transit, are not covered by this document. www.valeoservice.com Enabling a better automotive world
Warranty Offer I 2008 All parts are covered for one year from date of purchase by the end user for unlimited mileage except: Passenger car and light commercial vehicle clutch kits, alternators and starters. These are covered for two years. Counter Settlement In the event of failure, Valeo Service will provide a credit for the original purchase cost of the part. This document identifies catagories of returns that are excluded from the VSUK counter settlement scheme. With effect from Nov 1 2008 items returned and found to display evidence of these conditions will be rejected for counter settlement and returned at a customer cost of 6 per carton. In order to assist with your diagnosis of these problems we have provided a photographic image of each type and our Technical Department is available to assist in the event of more detailed information being required. The Valeo Warranty Scheme is split into two distinct areas dealing with claims for product only, (Counter Settlement offer detailed in this section) and those involving labour charges (see labour claims section). All claims and returns within the Warranty system must be accompanied by a completed Parts Warranty Return (PWR) form or ADF equivalent. Other variations may be accepted subject to verification that they contain the required datas. All claims under this system must be accompanied by the invoice from the distributor to the end customer confirming the date of sale and must be returned to VSUK within 6 months of being removed from the vehicle. The PWR form needs to be completed with detailed information. This enables us to fully track, investigate and quickly process your claim. Units or parts which are replaced in normal routine service and maintenance e.g., contact sets, rotor arms, distributor caps etc., whose normal service life may be less than the time period specified in the warranty, will not be replaced under warranty unless they are found to be defective in material or workmanship. Evidence of abnormal conditions of use or neglect will exclude vehicles from the scheme. Examples of abnormal use include: rally driving, taxi use, racing, pacemaking, towing, abuse, misfitting, unauthorised repair or operation in abnormal conditions or applications. Any specific exclusions to counter settlement related to specific parts or vehicles will be notified through the monthly PIU.

Accepted labour charges will be reimbursed at a national rate of 28 per hour and job times applied as per the I.C.M.E manual. The fact that a part has been replaced by Valeo Service under warranty does not extend the warranty period beyond 12 months (24 months for passenger car and light commercial vehicle clutch kits, alternators and starters) from the original date of purchase by the end user. In the event of a Warranty claim arising on products where Valeo Service has issued a recall or quality alert, we reserve the right to reject any labour claims arising after the date of such advice.
