CLEMSON UNIVERSITY COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICE LEVEL I 4-H HORSE PROJECT RECORD BOOK FOR SOUTH CAROLINA 4-H HORSE PROGRAM MEMBERS Reviewed by: Dr. Kristine Vernon Ph.D., 4-H Horse Program Specialist, Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences
Keeping good records is an important part of your 4-H work. Accurate records will tell others about your work and progress and will help you to become a better horseman. You should answer all of the questions under General Information at the beginning of the project. Some of the questions will ask you to establish goals for the coming year. Each 4-H horse club member is encouraged to set at least one goal which he or she plans to attain during the project year. My Project Goals Example: - Learn how to jump - Learn something new (braiding horses mane, learn several trail patterns) - Have Fun Describe you goals this year and how you plan to achieve those goals. What is your time table for finishing these goals?
