FTAs act as a tool to enhance trade relations and facilitate access of goods, technology and services going hand in hand with overall goal of improving national income and increasing job opportunities. It is worth noting that both bilateral and regional FTAs work on facilitating access to foreign markets and tend to offer some measures to protect infant industries from being overtaken by foreign competitors
In order to benefit from the FTAs, Egyptian firms and investors should be aware of the rules governing foreign trade, as well as the advantages and tools of FTAs.
