Primary Care Physician Selection Optional Not Applicable Certification Requirements There is not a requirement for member pre-certification. Your provider will do this on your behalf. If a member fails to obtain pre-certification they will not be denied services or will any penalty amount be applied. If you go into a hospital or a skilled nursing facility after one benefit period has ended, a new benefit period begins.
