The following are the terms and conditions governing the participation, earning/issuance and redemption of PremierMiles. 1. DEFINITIONS We, us, our means Citibank, N.A. - Philippine Branch; Card means the Citi PremierMiles, PremierMiles Platinum and PremierMiles Visa Signature Card that we issued and includes a supplementary card where the context requires; Card Account means the account maintained with us in respect of the Card; You, your means the primary cardholder, the person in whose name the Card Account is maintained. This term may also include the supplementary cardholder where the context requires; "PremierMiles" means the miles earned through usage of the Card as specified in these Terms and Conditions which may be used to redeem Rewards as may be determined by us in our absolute discretion; Program means the Citi PremierMiles Program, whereby you can earn PremierMiles on your purchases using your Card as provided in these Terms and Conditions; Purchase means a purchase of any goods or services for personal consumption by the use of the Card and may, at our absolute discretion and without prior notice, include any card transaction as we may determine; and Rewards means any goods, services, benefits, arrangements or other privileges (including, without limitation, miles on participating airline frequent flyer programs, loyalty program points, rebates or annual membership fee waivers), as we may determine in our absolute discretion, which may be redeemed by the use of PremierMiles under the Program. 2. PARTICIPATION 2.1 If your Card Account is in good credit standing, as determined by us in our sole discretion, you are entitled to participate in the Program at the date of commencement of the Program or the date when the Card is issued to you, whichever is later. 2.2 If the Card is terminated at any time for any reason, whether by you or by us, you (and any supplementary Cardholder/s) will forthwith be disqualified from participating in the Program and all unused PremierMiles then accrued shall automatically be forfeited immediately after the voluntary or involuntary cancellation of the Card. 2.3 If the supplementary Card is terminated at any time for any reason, you, the primary Cardholder, will not be disqualified from participating in the Program; provided that your Card Account remains open, active and in good credit standing. 2.4 We reserve the right to suspend or exclude you from participating or continuing to participate in the Program if: 2.4.1 In our opinion you have in any way breached the Citi PremierMiles Program Terms and Conditions or the terms and conditions of the Citi Card Agreement; or 2.4.2 In our opinion you conduct your Card Account in a manner inconsistent with the object and intent of the Citi PremierMiles Program. 2.5 Transfer of PremierMiles from an expired or closed Card Account to a current Card Account, as well as transfer of PremierMiles to any other person will not be allowed. 2.6 If you avail of debt restructuring, rewrite and other collection programs for your Account, your unused PremierMiles shall remain forfeited despite eventual payment of your Card Account. 2.7 Any remaining PremierMiles shall immediately cease to be valid upon the occurrence of any of the following: 2.7.1 The cancellation of the Card; or
2.7.2 The conversion of the Card to any other Citi Card, and no refund, extension, or compensation shall be given by us; or 2.7.3 The delinquency of the Card Account or the Card Account ceases to be in good credit standing. 3. ISSUANCE OF PREMIERMILES 3.1 You will receive, on a monthly basis, PremierMiles for purchases of goods or services for personal consumption charged on your Card while your Card Account is open and remains in good credit standing. 3.1.1 If you are a Citi PremierMiles Signature cardholder or Citi PremierMiles Platinum Cardholder whose card starts with 453248, you will earn at the rate of 1 PremierMile for every P30 spend. The computation of PremierMiles is 3.34% of the amount charged for each eligible purchase made on the Card. Example P5,000 x 3.34% = 167 PremierMiles. 3.1.2 If you are a Citi PremierMiles Cardholder whose card starts with 403419 and 453972, you will earn at the rate of 1 PremierMile for every P40 spend. The computation of PremierMiles is 2.50% of the amount charged for each eligible purchase made on the Card. Example: P5,000 x 2.50% = 125 PremierMiles. 3.2. PremierMiles accrue in your (the principal Cardholder's) name only, but are earned through supplementary card usage as well. 3.3. Charges which are not eligible to earn PremierMiles include, but are not limited to, cash advance transactions, refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent transactions, all fees and charges (annual membership fees, interest payments, charges for cash advance, any other form of service/miscellaneous fees), traveler s check or casino chip purchases and other unauthorized charges. Balance Transfer and Call for Cash availments do not earn PremierMiles unless otherwise stated. 3.4. PayLite transactions earn PremierMiles for the portion of the principal of the monthly installment amount billed on the statement of account. Any interest charges will not be entitled to earn PremierMiles. 3.5. One Bill charges up to P100,000 per transaction will earn PremierMiles, except for Meralco, Maynilad, Veco and PLDT transactions, which are capped at P20,000 per transaction. Any amount in excess will not be entitled to earn PremierMiles. 3.6. All Maynilad, Meralco PLDT & VECO bills paid via Citibank Online or the Citi Mobile App will earn PremierMiles for total charges of up to P20,000 per merchant per statement cycle. Meanwhile, you will earn PremierMiles for payments of up to P100,000 per merchant per statement cycle for Digitel, ICC, Bayantel, Globe Telecom, Sky Cable/Home Cable & Smart. 3.7. The PremierMiles shall be computed on a per transaction basis and shall be rounded off to the nearest centavo, including decimal values. 3.8. For the avoidance of doubt, we are entitled, in our absolute discretion, at any time and from time to time and without notice and without giving any reason, to take into account or disregard any Card transactions or charges or retail purchases in the calculation of PremierMiles to be credited or to otherwise vary the basis of calculation of PremierMiles. 3.9. The accumulation and usage of PremierMiles shall be specified in the statement of account. Unless we hear from you within 30 days from delivery of your statement of account to your billing/email address, the PremierMiles on the statement are considered correct. 3.10. Where PremierMiles have been credited to your Card Account and/or used or redeemed before the purchase/transaction for which such PremierMiles were earned is charged back, we will debit the Card Account for the credited PremierMiles. 3.11. We shall be entitled to debit such PremierMiles even if such debiting causes the Card Account to have a negative PremierMiles balance. 4. REDEMPTION OF PREMIERMILES
4.1. Subject to clauses 2 and 4, there is no time restriction on the redemption of PremierMiles. 4.2. Provided that the Card Account is in good standing as determined by us and that the Card Account has sufficient PremierMiles, you are entitled to redeem any one or more of the Rewards, based on the required amount of PremierMiles, via such redemption channel as we may from time to time inform you. You agree that we may, at our absolute discretion, without giving notice, change the required amount of PremierMiles to redeem any of the Rewards. You shall be responsible for checking the required amount of PremierMiles at the time of redemption. 4.3. You agree that your redemption of PremierMiles warrants your acceptance of the Program and any applicable terms and conditions. You may can redeem your PremierMiles by calling 24-hour CitiPhone at 995 9999 in Metro Manila, 234 9999 in Cebu, 1 800 10 995 9999 from other provinces or +63 2 995 9999 from abroad. 4.4 Once we receive the redemption request, the request cannot be revoked or cancelled and the PremierMiles cannot be transferred back into your Card Account. 5. REDEMPTION OF PARTICIPATING AIRLINE FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAMS (FFP) MILES OR LOYALTY PROGRAM (LP) POINTS 5.1. We may from time to time enter into agreements with FFPs and LPs so that you may use your PremierMiles to redeem FFP miles or LP points. We shall have absolute discretion in choosing FFPs and LPs to participate in the Program and will inform you of the participating FFPs and LPs. 5.2. You agree that you must also be a prior member of the FFP or LP before you can use your PremierMiles to redeem FFP miles or LP points. 5.3. You understand that usage of your PremierMiles to redeem FFP miles or LP points will be subject to such terms and conditions as may be imposed by us and/or the respective FFP and/or LP. 5.4. You agree that you may transfer your PremierMiles from your Card Account into any one or more FFP or LP accounts in your name only (and not in anyone else s name). For the redemption to be processed successfully, you should ensure that your name on the Card Account exactly matches your name on the FFP or LP account. 5.5. You can use your PremierMiles to redeem FFP miles or LP points at the rate of 1 PremierMile = 1 mile or 1 point. Each redemption request must be for a minimum of 500 or 1,000 PremierMiles and in increments of 500 or 1,000 PremierMiles, as designated by us. 5.6. Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for the crediting of miles or points into your FFP or LP account, except for SkyMiles which may take 6 to 8 weeks to credit. We reserve the right to extend our processing time without notice. You should check your FFP or LP account or contact the respective FFP or LP after such processing period for an update on your redemption request. 5.7. Once the PremierMiles have been successfully transferred and posted to your FFP or LP account, the validity of the FFP miles or LP points shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the FFP or LP. 5.8. You may redeem the FFP miles or LP points for flight award tickets, flight upgrades and/or rewards in accordance with the procedures, rules and regulations of the respective FFP or LP. 5.9. We shall not be liable for any changes made by the respective FFP or LP on the terms of the applicable program for which you may suffer any loss or inconvenience or for your inability or failure to use the FFP miles or LP points to redeem flight award tickets, flight upgrades and/or rewards for whatever reason, including for the expiry of any FFP miles or LP points that were redeemed from PremierMiles. 5.10. In the event of an unsuccessful redemption request, the PremierMiles will not be debited from your Card Account. 5.11. The participating FFPs and LPs in the Program are subject to change without prior notice. 5.12. Any applicable taxes and other charges are your responsibility. 6. REDEMPTION OF REBATES 6.1. You may use your PremierMiles to redeem rebates at the rate of 1,500 PremierMiles = P500. Each redemption request must be for a minimum of 1,500 PremierMiles and in increments of 1,500 PremierMiles. 6.2. Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for the processing of the rebate request. We reserve the right to extend our processing time without notice. The rebate will be will be given in the form of a cash credit to your Card Account and will be reflected on your statement of account. 7. REDEMPTION OF ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE WAIVERS You may use your PremierMiles to redeem annual membership fee waivers for the primary or supplementary Card under the Card Account. The redemption of PremierMiles for annual membership fee waivers may be availed of once a year only. 8. TAXATION 8.1. The PremierMiles obtained as a result of your private transactions should have no taxation consequences. 8.2. You will be responsible for whatever tax implications may arise out of the ultimate treatment of the PremierMiles. 9. OTHER CONDITIONS 9.1. We may at any time vary, modify, delete or amend the terms and conditions of the Program, the PremierMiles, the manner of redemption or the Rewards, as we may, in our absolute discretion, think fit and you shall be bound by such variations and amendments. Such modifications and amendments shall be effective on such date or dates as shall be determined solely by us. 9.2. These terms and conditions may be modified, added to, deleted or varied by us by way of posting on the Citibank Online website or in any other manner we may deem suitable. You agree to access the Citibank Online website at regular time intervals to view those terms and conditions and to ensure that you are kept up to date with any changes or variations. 9.3. Fraud and abuse relating to the earning or redemption of PremierMiles, including transfer of PremierMiles to participating FFPs or LPs, may result in forfeiture of earned PremierMiles.
9.4. Without prejudice to any of our rights and remedies, we are entitled, at any time, in our absolute discretion and without giving any reason or notice, to terminate the Program or withdraw, cancel or invalidate any reward and/or PremierMiles already issued. 9.5. We are not liable if we are unable to perform our obligations under these terms and conditions, due directly or indirectly to the failure of any machine or communication system, industrial dispute, war, act of God, or anything outside of our control or outside of the control of our agents or any third party. We shall not be responsible for any delay in the transmission to us of evidence of retail purchases by the participating merchants or any other third party. 9.6. Redeemed goods, services, benefits, arrangements or other privileges are not exchangeable for other goods or services, nor refundable, replaceable or transferable for cash or credit under any circumstances. We shall not be obliged to recognize or replace any goods or services redeemed through the Program that are lost, stolen or destroyed after delivery. 9.7. We do not make any representation and/or warranty on the Rewards under the Program. Furthermore, we shall not in any way be liable to you or any third party for any goods, services, benefits, arrangements or other privileges or the quality or performance of such goods, services, benefits, arrangements or other privileges redeemed from/supplied by any supplier, service provider, merchant or any third party under/pursuant to the Program, including for any death, injury, loss of or damage to property, or consequential loss or damage of any nature that you and if applicable, any accompanying person/s, may or has/have suffered arising from or out of the redemption of any PremierMiles, or use of FFP miles or other Rewards. You should seek redress and direct any complaints or comments in respect of such goods, services, benefits, arrangements or other privileges to the respective supplier, service provider, merchant or third party. 9.8. You hereby authorize us to disclose information regarding yourself and your Card Account/s to such third parties as we deem necessary for the purposes of the Program. 9.9. Our records of all matters relating to the Program shall be conclusive and binding on you. We are entitled, for any reason and at any time, without liability or prior notice, to suspend the calculation, accrual or redemption of PremierMiles, to rectify any errors in the calculation, or otherwise adjust such calculation. 9.10. All questions or disputes regarding eligibility for the Program or eligibility of PremierMiles for redemption including transfer of PremierMiles to a participating program will be resolved by us at our sole discretion. 9.11. Our decision on all matters relating to the Program shall be final and binding on you. 9.12. The terms and conditions of the Citi Card Agreement shall apply to all Citi PremierMiles Signature cards (inclusive of PremierMiles Platinum with BIN number 4532 and PremierMiles with BIN number 4034); and in the event of any conflict or discrepancy between the terms and conditions of the Citi Card Agreement and the terms set out herein, the terms set out herein shall prevail insofar as the Program is concerned. 9.13. To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will we or any of our officers, employees, representatives and/or agents be liable for any loss or damages (including without limitation, loss of income, profits or goodwill or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties) howsoever arising, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise in connection thereof, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance, and all such damages are expressly excluded.
