(The initial approval year was not always easy to ascertain, whereas the drafts always bear a date.) For the more recent projects (those begun within about the last 20 years) the year in parentheses is the year in which the project actually began (and not the year of the first draft, which could be one or more years later). In all projects, the concluding year shown in parentheses is the year that the final product in the project was published or, if the project was discontinued before a final ALI-approved product was accomplished, then the year shown is the year the project terminated, sometimes with publication of a Reporter s Study, Discussion Draft, or other work; an explanation in each such case is shown in brackets. In most cases the official work in the project is published in the year following the Annual Meeting in which the work is finally approved by the Institute, and sometimes even later, due to the time necessary to get the manuscript revised, edited, and printed. If no concluding year is shown in parentheses, then the project is ongoing. 7
