The 7 days training programme was conducted for 15 beneficiary women in April, 2016 with the help of the senior expert Mr. Rathna Swamy and his two assistants. After completion of the training activity, the Sanctioned Grant from your benevolent KIREA, Canada was distributed to these Women as the Seed Money on 1 st May, 2016. The beneficiary women started their occupational work with immediate effect. With the grant, they bought Raw material and started the Basket Making activity. The raw material and implements required for the Basket Making scheme is Long Bamboo Sticks, long stands, cutters, threads, ropes etc. After selling the first month s production, the initial capital is put for further production i.e., to purchase the raw materials. The net profit gained from this month s production will be utilized by the women for their family needs. This process continues every month by using initial capital again and again. The women are working for 7 hours a day and for 26 days a month. Out of a day s 24 hours, each woman allots to work for 7 hours a day and they can do their domestic chore in the other time.
