Straw Hat Farms of Marion County, IA Produce Catalog 2017 Growing Season Now you can get fresh produce delivered once per week! If you live in Knoxville, Pleasantville, Hartford, Carlisle or the downtown or south side of Des Moines we are now offering weekly produce ordering and delivery. Here s how it works. 1. You provide us with an e mail address that you check regularly.

2. Each Monday starting May 1, by noon, we will send you an e-mail of what fresh produce is available that week. For instance in May we would have Rhubarb, Asparagus, leaf lettuce, radishes, cabbage etc. In June Green Beans, Beets, New Potatoes, Kohlrabi summer squash and more. In July Tomatoes, Peppers, and others and in the fall Sweet Potatoes, Winter Squash and Watermelon. 3. You respond to us by Wednesday evening with your order for the amount and type of fresh produce you would like. We will send you a confirming e mail prior to delivery, with confirmation of availability and the total cost. Then we will pick the fresh produce and deliver it! Delivery to Knoxville will be on Thursday afternoon and Des Moines at noon on Friday and to Hartford and Carlisle Friday afternoon. Prior to the first delivery a predetermined drop-off point will need to be established. 4. Payment can be in cash or our delivery people will have the ability to take a credit or debit card. It is that simple. You can get fresh produce once per week and don t have to go to the Farmers Market or the grocery store and unlike a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) you get only what you want in the quantity you need and don t have to pay in April for October s produce. However please note our production is highly dependant on Mother Nature and there may be times when some requests can not be filled due to availability. We will try to let you know as soon as possible if supplies are limited. If you are interested in being on our email ordering list please send us an e-mail that we can use at strawhatfarms@gmail.com and we will add you to the list. All e-mails are sent blind cc so your e mail will not be shared. Of course you can always come by our location at 307 E DeWitt in Pleasantville (2 blocks west of the Dairy Shoppe) and we will pick your produce fresh from the gardens. Call ahead and we will have it ready for you. Please note this catalog is a work in progress. We will do our best to continue to add photos and descriptions for each entry as we work towards completion. We will use as many pictures as we can of our own products, but in some cases we use suppliers pictures when necessary. The best way to tell is to come see us in person!
