A. APPLYING FOR A CARD The application process for an American Express Corporate Green Card differs between each ABB market. Locally, several processes have been implemented to handle this topic. The American Express Corporate Green Cards for ABB employees are issued without an annual fee in line with our global contract. If you would like to apply for a card, please contact your local Travel Manager or HR department, they have been assigned as ABB program administrators for American Express and hold the most recent card application forms. As per market regulations, applications can also be managed online by the ABB Intranet. Please check accordingly. Under normal circumstances cards are issued in five to ten working days. Cards can be issued on an urgent basis, however, please note there will be a fee applied for this service which will be added to your first statement. 1. A charge Card requires full settlement of the account to be made by the due date noted on the monthly statement. 2. How long is my Corporate Card valid? The validity of your Corporate Card differs across the globe. It is valid for two up to four years providing payment Terms and Conditions are met and you have a continued business need. Why is an identity check necessary when the Card is a Company Liability or a Companysettled product? American Express has a legal requirement to carry out appropriate customer due diligence before setting up a Card account. The Card applicant is being issued with a financial instrument and, no matter who pays the bill, the Card applicant is being given a tool on which fraudulent offences could potentially be committed. As a result, we are required to ensure we are issuing our product in a responsible manner. By confirming the identity of all Card applicants, American Express is taking positive steps towards reducing the risk of one of our customers being a victim of identity fraud. 10. Is a record left on my credit record when American Express performs an Identity Check? Yes, a record of the Identity Check, called a 'footprint', is left on your credit record. However, it is not a credit footprint. If you request a copy of your Experian Credit Report, what you will see in the Previous Search section of your report is evidence of
something called an unrecorded enquiry. This is the label used to identify searches not made for lending purposes and includes an Identity Check. 11.
