Scope of review The individual review of NC/BR will Provide an assessment of the completeness of the NC/BR Provide an indication of whether it was submitted on time Check the consistency of information contained in the NC/BR with that contained in the BR/NC and GHG inventory Undertake a detailed technical examination of the reporting elements in NC/BR Identify issues related to completeness, transparency, timeliness and adherence to reporting guidelines

Definition and application of criteria criteria Reporting Review completeness No mandatory ( shall requirements) reporting elements is excluded. Comparing the reported information in NC/BR with the mandatory reporting requirements. Transparency Timeliness of submission Adherence to reporting guidelines The reporting shall be structured following the outline contained in the annex to the reporting guidelines, in order to facilitate transparency. NC/BR reports are submitted by the due date or within six weeks after the due date. NC/BR reports adhere to the reporting guidelines for NC and BR. Clear, factual and neutral information or explanation is provided which is sufficient for the review experts to assess the relevance, credibility and reliability of the reported information. Check the time of submission. Draw conclusion on this based on the assessment of completeness, transparency and timeliness.

Workflow of review of NC and BR

Timeline: preparation prior to review Twelve weeks prior to the review week: - Inform the Party under review -Seek confirmation of review dates - Compose the expert review team (ERT) Eight weeks prior to the review week: - Send invitation to the ERT - Send background documents to the ERT Four weeks prior to the review week: - Provide more structured guidance to the ERT - Request preliminary questions from the ERT Two weeks prior to the review week: - Organize a telephone conference with the ERT - Exchange views on the initial findings of the ERT

Timeline: preparation of review report Review week Additional information, where required, to be provided by Party within two weeks after the review Eight weeks for report drafting/editing Draft review report Sent to Party for comments Four weeks for Party to comment Comments from Party Sent to expert review team (ERT) for consideration Four weeks for ERT to address Final review report Submit to Conference of the Parties for consideration
