Redemption Requirements Prize Details Prize winner: must arrange visa, insurance and any other necessary travel documentation requirements at their own cost to collect their prize. There are two grand prizes to be won, each comprising: Travel package is valid through Dec 2018 (No Blackout dates apply, but costs above cap for airfare will be paid for by travellers directly) Tickets and itinerary must be confirmed a minimum of 30 days prior to departure. Prices are capped at $250 per return flight on AirAsia or equivalent airline, including 15kg baggage per person. Flights must depart from Singapore. Costs above this cap will be paid for by the traveller directly. Hotel Accommodation will be at Greenhost Boutique Hotel or equivalent, based on twin sharing basis, inclusive of breakfast. The Organisation has no control over communications networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Organisation is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred. Entrants who enter using multiple email addresses, phone numbers or aliases may be disqualified. Consumers are responsible for their own costs associated with accessing the Internet. Automatically generated entries may be disqualified. 6. The Organisation reserves the right to verify the validity of entries. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and the prize will be awarded to the entrant who submitted the next best valid entry. 7. The Organisation may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any entrant (including without limitation a winner) who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition, or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry or acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent or effect of annoying, abusing, threatening or harassing any other person, or behaves in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Organisation or any of its related bodies corporate or the agencies or companies associated with this competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate. 8. This is a contest of telling us how our featured citizen ambassadors have inspired you; chance plays no part in determining the winner(s). 9. Each valid entry will be individually judged by or on behalf of the Organisation based on, among other things, creativity and literary merit. The 163 best valid entries as determined by or on behalf of the Organisation will win a prize. 10. The Organisation s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered. 11. All entries become the property of the Organisation and will not be returned to the entrant. Each entry must be the entrant s original work. By entering this competition entrants: a. consent to the Organisation making copies of or publishing the whole or any part of their entry and otherwise exploiting the entry and any rights in relation to the entry, to publicise this competition or for any other purposes; b. undertake to the Organisation that their entry is not, and its use by the Organisation will not be, in breach of any third party intellectual property rights; c. acknowledge that their entry and their name may be made publicly available by the Organisation (in its absolute discretion) and may be accessible to the public to view; and d. permit the Organisation to edit, adapt and alter their entry for inclusion in any form of media. 12. If the prize includes tickets (e.g. to a movie, concert, sports game or event) or a voucher, the tickets/voucher are subject to any terms and conditions imposed by the prize supplier, including periods of validity. 14. Where a prize includes travel, or involves the winner/s attending an event: a. the prize must be taken on the dates as specified by the Organisation and/or prize supplier to coincide with the itinerary date/s; b. the winner/s (and their companion/s, if applicable) must make their own way to and from the itinerary, at their own cost;
c. if any part of the itinerary is abandoned, called off, varied or postponed for any reason, then at the Organisation s discretion, the relevant winner (and their companion/s, if applicable) forfeits all rights to attend the relevant itinerary and no cash or alternative tickets will be substituted for that part of the prize; d. the winner/s (and their companion/s, if applicable) must, at the request of the Organisation and/or prize supplier, sign an indemnity and exclusion of liability form (provided by the Organisation) in favour of all parties involved in this competition and/or providing the prize prior to undertaking any specified activities forming part of the competition or prize. If the winner and/or their nominated companion/s (if applicable) do not sign the indemnity form provided by the Organisation within the time requested by the Organisation, the relevant winner s entry or claim will be deemed invalid. Where a winner s entry or claim is deemed invalid, the Organisation reserves the right to award the prize to the entrant who submitted the next best valid entry; e. the Organisation may in its absolute discretion prohibit an entrant s participation in this competition, cancel a prize or otherwise cease to provide any benefit of a prize to a winner (and their companion/s, if applicable) if the entrant or the winner (or their companion/s), in the opinion of the Organisation, is under the influence of alcohol or any other drug, behaves aggressively or offensively, or behaves in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Organisation or any of its related bodies corporate (or of the business of the Organisation or any of its related bodies corporate), is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate; f. entrants (and their companions, if applicable) acknowledge that there may be inherent risks in some aspects of the prize and that using the prize may involve participating in activities that possess a degree of risk. By entering this competition and/or accepting the prize, entrants (and their companions, if applicable) accept that risk. 15. The winner will be notified in accordance with the Winner Notification details. 16. The winner/s (and any companion/s, if applicable) must, at the Organisation s request, participate in all marketing and promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Organisation using their name and image in any promotional material. 17. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and (unless cash is specified) cannot be redeemed for cash. In the event for any reason a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Organisation then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. 18. The Organisation accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. Where a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Organisation reserves the right to substitute for that prize a prize of equal value as determined by the Organisation. 19. If the prize has not been accepted or claimed in accordance with the Prize Claim Date and Time, the relevant winner s entry will be deemed invalid and the Organisation will distribute the prize to the entrant who submitted the next best valid entry. 20. The Organisation may require the winner/s to provide proof of age, proof of identity and proof of residency. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Organisation s discretion. 21. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned including but not limited to by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, technical failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any cause beyond the control of the Organisation which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of this competition, the Organisation may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries.
22. The Organisation and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage or personal injury, illness or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). Nothing in these conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition Act (Chapter 50B). 23. Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Organisation and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage, loss or delay in transit to prize/s [or be liable for any damage which occurs to prizes whilst they are displayed]. 24. The Organisation accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where this competition results in, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration are of equal GST inclusive market values. 25. All entries will be the property of the Organisation. The information entrants provide will be used by the Organisation for conducting this competition. The Organisation may collect entrants personal information (including through its contractors or agents) or disclose entrants personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants. By entering this competition, entrants consent to the storage of their personal information on the Organisation s database and the Organisation may use this information for future competition and marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging. By entering this competition, entrants consent to receiving SMS or email messages from the Organisation that do not contain any functional unsubscribe facility. The Organisation may communicate or advertise this competition using Facebook or Instagram. However, the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. Entrants are providing their information to the Organisation and not to Facebook or Instagram. Each entrant completely releases Facebook and Instagram from any and all liability. 27.
