INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR PASSPORT USER GUIDE Welcome to Passport. The enhanced design addresses the specialized needs of the Benefit Payment Administrator to quickly access and effectively analyze your retiree information. This guide will help you get started customizing your home page to best fit your needs. MY PASSPORT HOME PAGE PAGE SET-UP After you log onto the site, you will be taken to the My Passport page. You can customize your page to best fit your needs by adjusting your viewing preferences and adding content. northerntrust.com 1 of 7
MY PROFILE AND PREFERENCES Adjusting your viewing preferences allows you to override the default preferences to create a more customized experience. This includes: Selecting a Start Page the page you most frequently access or the page you want to see first when logging in. Defining your International Settings and Format Preferences time zone, account display format, and number, language, date and time formats. Entering your Contact Information to define what e-mail address you want to receive report attachments, report notifications and Passport alerts and other important communications from Northern Trust Once you change your preferences they will not change again, unless you change them. To update your viewing preferences, click the My Profile & Preferences link at the top of the page Ver 4.2 northerntrust.com 2 of 7
ADD CONTENT The Add Content button is located on most pages of the portal. Once you click on it you will see all the content (portlets) that you can place on that page. Depending on the page you are on, your content choices may differ. 1. For each available portlet, you ll notice the name and a snap shot of the portlet, an Add button, and a counter. 2. Click Add, the portlet will be placed on the page and the counter will change to reflect how many of that portlet you have on the page, and how many you have available to add. 3. Click Close Content to return to the page. 4. After you add a portlet you need to set your preferences. To do this, click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the portlet. 5. You can move the portlets up or down on the page by dragging the portlet from the title bar it s that simple. Ver 4.2 northerntrust.com 3 of 7
ADDING PAGES You can create additional pages under your Passport tabs to house your portlets. There are multiple benefits to creating additional pages and splitting you portlets between these pages: Ability to organize your portlets to best suit how you work. Eliminates the need to scroll down a page. Improves performance by reducing the load time per page. Add Page is available on most Passport tabs and is accessed from the navigation bar below the tab. To Add a Page to a Tab: 1. Click the down arrow to the right of the Add Page option. 2. In the Personalize your page window, enter a name for the page and click Save. CUSTOMIZING YOUR EXPERIENCE In addition to your custom settings on My Profile and Preferences page, Passport makes it easy to change settings and customize on the fly. Start Page Want to change your own home page on the fly? Click at the bottom right-hand side of the page you are on to make your new Home. My Links My Links is a customizable portlet allowing you to create links to the websites that you most frequently visit. The Summary page provides Featured Insights containing white papers, webinars and papers on regulatory changes for either the Asset Servicing professional or the Asset Management profession. The Insights on Regulation page is meant to provide you with the latest information on new and changing regulations within our industry such as Dodd-Frank, FACTA, UCITs and Derivatives.
