Payment & Tax details for Incentive Programs using CHIP page 1 New online experience for payment details on CHIP actions required 1. Microsoft is pleased to announce a new online experience* for payment details accessed through the Channel Incentives Platform (CHIP) website. To receive (or continue to receive) your incentive earnings, action is required by all partners no later than the date communicated for your incentive program. This Quick Reference Guide and the related in depth training module provide guidance. 2. There are up to 4 steps which must be completed to enable Microsoft to initiate payment - partners must enter their bank and tax details, and for each location assign a banking profile and select currency (if not already in place or if would like to change). 3. If a partner has already utilised the Bank and Tax management pages for another incentive program, their bank and tax profiles may appear as preapproved and can be assigned to a company location and currency selected (if not already visible or if different currency preferred). 4. Changes to bank profile assignment or currency assignment can be made to both approved and pre-approved bank profiles. 5. A payment profile that is correctly setup and ready to receive incentive payments will have the status of complete with a green tick symbol. 6. Bank or tax profiles once created won t appear as Approved for 48 hours due to verification by Microsoft. If a profile isn t approved after 48 hours, contact Support. Do not create an identical profile. Duplicate profiles will be rejected. *Mainland China, India, Korea & Taiwan remain on manual process until further notice see training modules for more information. Summary: partners with no visible payment profile 1. On CHIP select Manage Company Profile under I Need To menu 2. Click on either Add Bank Profile or Add Tax Profile to be directed to Partner Payee Portal 3. Under Tax Profile click on Get Started to create a tax profile. After you are redirected back to this screen. 4. Under Banking Profile column click on relevant row and then on Create a new banking profile This banking profile will then be auto assigned to that location. 5. Currency will appear based on selection in bank profile. It can also be changed via drop down if required. 6. When making changes, confirmation message will appear to save your changes, click on OK. Support options include: Email address listed or CHAT feature under Submit Inquiry on I Need to menu in CHIP MPN portal which includes CHAT support Call Logging tool (CLT) if applicable 1

Click on either Add Bank Profile or Add Tax Profile to be directed to Partner Payee Portal 3. If Tax Profile status is anything other than Approved click status to provide tax profile. After you are redirected back to this screen. 4. Under Banking Profile column select bank profile you wish to assign to this location. Alternatively click on Create a new banking profile This banking profile will then be auto assigned to that location. 5. If no / incorrect currency visible, select or change from drop down. 6. When making changes, confirmation message will appear to save your changes, click on OK. Summary: bank or tax profile status of Partner Action Required (1 of 2) 1. On CHIP select Manage Company Profile under I Need To menu 2. Click on either Add Bank Profile or Add Tax Profile to be directed to Partner Payee Portal 3. If Tax Profile status is anything other than Approved click status to provide tax profile. After you are redirected back to this screen. 4. Banking profile is visible but status is incomplete. Hover over and Partner Action Required message is visible, directing to Bank Profile section. 2

Payment & Tax details for Incentive Programs using CHIP page 3 Summary: bank or tax profile status of Partner Action Required (2 of 2) To edit a Banking Profile begin the process from the Banking profiles details section. Profile Assignment section 1. On Banking profile details select Banking Profile by clicking on the status Partner Action Required. For next steps on editing a bank profile please see Create bank profile section. 2. Status will change to Pending Microsoft Action with message advising to check back in 48 hours. 3. Return to Profile Assignment section to check bank profile and currency assignment and make changes if required. 4. When making changes confirmation message will appear to save your changes, click on OK. Entering or edit bank and tax profiles To enter or change your Bank Profile details you will need to know: Section Input required Check Details Bank location the country in which your Company s bank is located. Disbursement currency the currency in which you want to be paid by Microsoft. Payment method the method through which you will be paid. Note: This is typically set to the default which is electronic payment. Bank account Beneficiary Bank identifier such as IBAN or SWIFT/BIC. Beneficiary information Bank beneficiary contact name and contact details (i.e. the person named on your bank account as your Company contact and their recorded contact details) Company name recorded on your bank account Company Tax ID type and Tax ID (e.g. VAT or similar.) Company address (i.e. the Company address as recorded on your bank account) Note: Keep a note of your tax details as you will need to enter these again in the Tax profile section. 3

Payment & Tax details for Incentive Programs using CHIP page 4 To enter or change your Tax Profile details you will need to know: Section Input required Check Setup Tax Status Additional documentation Tax Form Bank location the country in which your Company s bank is located. Disbursement currency the currency in which you want to be paid by Microsoft. Payment method the method through which you will be paid. Note: This is typically set to the default which is electronic payment. Bank identifier such as IBAN or SWIFT/BIC. Create Banking Profile Note: All 3 sections of the Payment profile Details, Bank account and Beneficiary information, are to be completed. Enter only your company details. Never enter personal details. On Profile Assignment section click to add a new Banking Profile. Then follow these steps: 1. Select the Details section. Enter or confirm your company account profile, bank location, currency and payment method and click Next to save these details and move on. 2. Enter your Company bank account identifier and click Next to confirm these details and move on. 3. Enter Beneficiary information name, contact details and tax details, then click Finish to save. Finally click Confirm to start validation of Banking profile and return to Profile Assignment section. Create Tax Profile Note: The first 2 sections Setup and Tax Status have to be completed by all Partners. Completion of Additional documentation and Tax Form is dependent on where partner company is incorporated. (US Partners or Partners with customers in the US are required to submit a Tax Form to receive fees.) Enter only your Company tax details. You are never required to enter personal tax details. On Profile Assignment section, under Tax Status, click Get Started. Then follow these steps: 1. Select the Setup section. Select the location where your Company is incorporated and click Next to save these details and move on. 2. Enter your Company Tax ID Type and Tax ID and click Next to save these details and move on. 3. Complete the Additional documentation* section and associated questionnaire (if applicable) and click Next to save these details and move on. 4. Launch and fill in the Tax Form* (if applicable), then click Finish to save these details and return to the top Payment and Tax profile page. 4

Payment & Tax details for Incentive Programs using CHIP page 5 Assignment of bank profile and currency to location Please note bank profile is auto assigned to the location row it was created from, and currency column is auto-populated based on currency selected during creation of bank profile. If any changes are required: 1. To associate a different banking profile to a location select the required banking profile from drop down box. 2. To select a different currency to what is visible, select from dropdown. 3. Confirmation message appears after each change. Click OK to confirm. Notes re assigning banking profiles to locations Please note the same banking profile can be assigned to multiple locations, duplicate banking profiles should not be created. If a banking profile is created for one location and approved, it will appear in other locations also if the currency is supported for that location. So depending on the currency filter, each location will show list of available approved banking profiles. Editing payment details post Microsoft payment profile approval 1. To change any tax details, due to legal requirements the full tax profile will need to be resubmitted. 2. Once a bank profile has been approved by Microsoft (status of Approved visible on Profile assignment or Banking Profiles details sections), this bank profile can no longer be edited or deleted. A new bank profile should be created if needed (ensuring duplicate profile not already available in your list of bank profiles). 3. To change what bank profile or currency is assigned to a location, please follow the guidance provided in the Assigning bank profiles and currencies to locations section. Note re Organization ID If you are earning incentives on your Organization ID (V-Org ID), the bank and tax information you will select/enter will also be reflected for your primary location (HQ/ headquarters) ID and vice-versa. In future, any changes to the bank/tax information for either of the V-Org ID or HQ ID, will be automatically reflected for the other as both will share the same details.
