How to Make the Switch Step 1: Open your UCB account by applying online or by stopping by a branch. It will be helpful to you to learn your new account number(s) and our routing number (091210074) What s needed to open an account? Photo ID Previous bank statement Bill with current address Step 2: Start using your UCB account for all daily transactions and stop using your old account. Step 3: Sign up for or update your direct deposit. (See included form.) Step 4: Transfer any reoccurring, automatic payments or deposits that are tied to your old account to your UCB account. (See included form.) Step 5: Close your old accounts. Make sure to allow enough time for any outstanding checks, debit card purchases, and final automatic withdrawals to clear. Use the attached form to notify your former bank. Then, destroy your unused checks, ATM & debit cards, and deposit slips, or bring them to us and we will shred them. (See included form.)
