How to Change Your Contribution Amount Online Congratulations for taking an active role in your NYU Langone Medical Center retirement plan account. Think about saving as much as you can. By maximizing your contribution every year, you lower your taxable income and save more for your retirement. To log in to your account at TIAA-CREF, simply follow the steps below: Visit the Benefits website by going to atnyulmc.org Log in using your Kerberos ID and password. Select Career & Benefits in the top navigation and then Employee Benefits in the drop down menu. Once on the Benefits website, select the Retirement Savings tab. Once you re on the Retirement Savings page, you can access your account by clicking on the Manage My Account button. Once you log in, you will be taken to the Account Home page for your TIAA-CREF accounts, from where you can view and take action on all of your accounts. Have questions? TIAA-CREF is here to help. If you need assistance changing your contribution rate, call 855 200-7240 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (ET), or Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ET).

To change your contribution amount, simply follow these steps: 1. From the Account Home page, click on Manage My Portfolio. 2. Under Retirement Plans, click on Open / Contribute to an Account. 2

3. On that page, click on View / Edit Contributions under Employer-Sponsored Retirement Plans. 4. On this Welcome page, the list of plans to which you can contribute will display. To begin, simply click on the Manage My Contributions button. 5. On this Manage Contributions page, the amount that you and your employer currently contribute to each plan for which you are eligible is shown. You can change the amount or rate you contribute to a specific plan by clicking on the Schedule a Change button within that plan s box. 3

6. You can enter in a specific dollar amount per paycheck, a percentage of each paycheck or the maximum annual contribution. Once you select how much you want to contribute, you must choose an effective date for the change. The election may take effect as soon as possible or on a future date you select. Please be aware that it may take time for your employer to process your request. Therefore, it may take more than one pay cycle to see your contribution elections reflected in your paycheck deductions. 4

6. Continued If you elect to contribute the maximum annual contribution, and you are age 50 or older, you will be asked if you wish to include any or all of the additional available amount in your calculation. You will need to enter how much additional catch-up contribution you wish to contribute. $17,500.00 $2,000.00 $4,500.00 $0.00 $15,000.00 17 $882.36 4/15/2013 5

7. When you have elected how much you want to contribute and when you want that election to begin, click on the orange Continue button. 8. Your requested change will display under your current contributions. If this reflects your desired change, click on the Submit Changes button at the top of the page. 9. Once you read and accept the Terms and Conditions, a confirmation page summarizes your transaction and indicates that it has been submitted. Please print this page and retain for your records.
