Aon Risk Solutions National Charities Charities Empowering results with insurance and risk solutions for Charities Risk. Reinsurance. Human Resources.

Empowering results with insurance and risk solutions for Charities Aon is a leading global provider of risk management and insurance brokerage Our dedicated team has over 20 years experience in risk management and insurance for the charity sector. We understand the specific challenges charities face and bring together the most forward-thinking minds to solve distinct, global challenges.

Solutions, as bespoke as your needs We create and design individual insurance solutions. This applies to existing clients, as well as new clients. Whether you ve been insured with Aon for three or 33 years, we can still add value and come up with new ideas year-on-year. In order to do this, we work with a wide range of specialist insurers. We devote considerable time and effort to understanding our clients needs. We don t expect our clients to fit into insurers existing policies. We ask the insurers to fit your needs. We provide a total, bespoke insurance and risk management service for large and small charities, offering an extensive range of charity insurance cover. Teamwork empowering your people to deliver Trust in Aon to understand the needs of Charities We can act as your in-house broker. That is we can become an integral part of your team. This can not only save you time, it can help with any gaps in experience in any particular areas, just like an outsourced team. It also means you re left free to focus on your core business while we focus on insurance and risk management. Aon empowers clients and their people to deliver results through their expertise and experience. Some of our clients have had the same Aon service team on board for 15 years or more giving them not only continuity but also a continual freshness of approach. Aon currently has over 10,000 clients in the UK charity sector. Many of these are household names: Age UK, British Heart Foundation, Jewish Care, The Guide Association, The National Autistic Society. Some clients have been with us for over 30 years. We also provide advice for 1,000 charity shops. We understand the range of fund raising activities involved in operating a successful charity enterprise. Indeed we know some of our clients so well we have pre-agreed special activities cover in place for these fund raising activities, such things as bungee jumping and night walks. This is just another way Aon can support, meaning you don t have to think about these issues, and can concentrate on making your charity as successful as possible. Aon currently has over 10,000 clients in the UK charity sector, some for over 30 years.

Our work with Age UK Age UK was formed by a merger with Age Concern and Help the Aged. They have over 450 charity shops, houses and offices. As you can imagine, the integration of the two Health and Safety and Property functions took time to complete. Inevitably they have had their share of claims, both for property losses and liability. Risk Management has become a key issue for them. Aon, working with Zurich, and with the full support from the Age UK Board of Directors, have reviewed all processes and procedures. Through this co-operation, and their hard work, the insurance profile of Age UK has been improved. With a mandate to reduce the premium spend, Aon carried out a full market exercise in 2015. We invited five insurers to tender for Age UK s programme with a presentation prepared jointly focussing on the scope of work we and Age UK had done in the area of risk management. The outcome? A reduction of over 15% in premiums with no diminution of cover, or increased excesses, or any added punitive terms. This was a result of collective teamwork between Aon and Age UK. It shows the depth of our understanding of our client s business and of the charity market. Risk management support and advice Aon can work with you to create a risk profile even if insurance is just one element. We do this at face-to-face meetings, with your in-house risk engineer and potentially the insurer as well if appropriate. And to save you time, we can set up the resulting risk management programme. Aon our products, our solutions, your language These days most insurance policies are reasonably easy to read. But they re not always easy to understand. Aon exclusive TRIO policies on the contrary, are easy to read and easy to understand. With TRIO there s no small print, no hidden exclusions. They re completely transparent. They give you total confidence and certainty your claims will be covered. Looking out for your team Aon can, through Aon WorldAware, support your employees and volunteers overseas. We can co-ordinate their travel and help keep them safe and informed.

Crisis management extraordinary risks require extraordinary cover We work with many organisations that have people, assets and investments exposed to extraordinary risks. We can help clients understand and quantify their exposure to risk. They need the knowledge so they can make informed decisions on how to best mitigate and manage risks. This includes the very sensitive issues such as resources for evacuation and underpinning trustee obligations to staff. Political risks protecting overseas investments Actions by foreign, or for that matter domestic governments, can deprive an organisation of its assets and prevent or restrict the performance of a contract. Such actions can affect repayment of loans to banks and lenders. We can provide in-depth analysis and individually structured insurance policies to make sure your risks are minimised and managed effectively. We re a global leader in providing solutions that deliver long-term value to clients of all sizes, in all industries Introducing Aon Hewitt Aon through Aon Hewitt can also manage your employees. Aon Hewitt helps organisations improve the performance of benefits and rewards programmes. We do so by identifying and managing risk. We re a global leader in providing solutions that deliver long-term value to clients of all sizes, in all industries. This includes Pensions Administration, Pensions Consulting and Benefits Solutions Aon Trade Credit Credit risk should always be considered, particularly with the economy as it stands. You need to protect your balance sheet, optimise your working capital, and minimize the impact of bad debt. A good place to start might be to ask us about our Pension Deficit audit.

Aonline Aonline gives you online access to your risk and insurance documents and other information. It s free. It saves time. It s extremely easy to use we ll happily give you a demo. You can share reports with colleagues. It provides insight on the insurance and risk world through news, articles, and reports. It s a great alternative to sending multiple emails with various links. Aonline overcomes the various firewall constraints and holds documents logically and securely. It s available only to those with authorised access. Aon solutions for trustees The responsibilities of a charity trustee are formidable. That s why, in order to protect you and your charity, we have designed special policies for Charity Trustees, Directors and Officers. These policies cover Medical Malpractice, Treatment and Professional Indemnity. We can also arrange abuse cover as standard with Public Liability wording rather than stand-alone. This shows we not only understand the issues, but actually place such cover. Corporate Social Responsibility what it really means Times have changed. People, planet, profits sustainability is about all three. We no longer have a choice between making a profit and making the world a better place. We do both. We deliver long-term returns to stakeholders and, at the same time, maximize our value to society. Good sustainable businesses, like Aon, manage natural resources and help build strong societies. We understand financial sustainability is bound up with the sustainability of society and the planet. In the UK, we focus on three areas: Aon Bursaries Aon Bursaries are available at renewal for risk control assistance. We identify the risk issues and work with insurers to generate funds. This also helps to reduce the risk factor on your balance sheet. Keeping you updated If we work together, we ll regularly keep in touch with you on issues affecting the Charity sector through Technical bulletins, Alerts, Seminars and, of course, Aonline.

The community Aon At One with the Community encourages employees to become involved in supporting local communities. This is all about valuing diversity and ensuring fair treatment for everyone here at Aon, and making sure we don t consciously or unconsciously perpetuate any form of discrimination. Diversity and inclusion The environment We aim to improve our sustainability by reducing our impact on the environment, as well as having a positive environmental effect whenever and wherever we possibly can.
