Description of the main features of the credit product The type of credit The total amount of credit This means the ceiling or the total sums made available under the credit agreement The conditions governing the drawdown This means how and when you will obtain the money The duration of the credit agreement Instalments and, where appropriate, the order in which instalments will be allocated Platinum Credit Card Corresponds with total amount of credit stated in your credit agreement. The typical limit for a new customer is 5,000 You will have to: - Furnish proof of address and identification to comply with anti-money laundering legislation - Complete our Platinum application form and return it to us - Obtain our approval to issue the credit card to you with an approved credit limit. We have absolute discretion on whether or not to issue this approval. - Provide security, if any (see sureties required below) Open-ended but subject to the bank s and your termination rights set out in the credit agreement You will have to pay for the following: Frequency of Repayment is instalments monthly. The minimum sum due for payment by you is specified on each statement. The minimum sum is the outstanding balance shown on the statement if less than 5 or the greater of 5 or 2.5% of the outstanding balance. You must pay this or more to the Bank within 25 days from your statement date. We will only consider a payment made when it is received by us and credited to your Account. We will apply payments towards what you owe us in the following order: (i) Any monthly payment due to us under an Instalment Plan (oldest first) 1

Representative example based on credit card purchase of 5,000. Assuming 5,000 repaid in equal instalments over a 12 month period, the total amount repayable by customer is 5,479.71 which includes initial limit of 5,000 and a total cost of 479.71 None required. 3. Costs of the Credit The borrowing rate or, if applicable, different borrowing rates which apply to the credit agreement. The APR is there to help you compare different offers. Annualised Rate Purchases 13.79% variable Annualised Rate Cash Advances 19.89% variable Instalment Plan 6.7% variable Balance Transfer Rate 0% fixed for first 7 months or Introductory Rate on Purchases 0% fixed for first 6 months When the relevant fixed rate period ends, the current Annualised Rate for Purchases is applied. These rates may be subject to change. APR Purchases 19.6% variable. Other drawdown mechanisms (cash advances, balance transfers and if applicable instalment plan drawdowns) may result in higher APRs. Representative Example of credit card purchase at standard interest rate of 13.79% variable. Typical APR of 19.6% variable including annual Government Stamp Duty of 30 and an Annual Charge of 76.18. Assuming purchase of 5,000 repaid in equal instalments over a 12 month period. 2

Is it compulsory, in order to obtain the credit or to obtain it on the terms and conditions marketed, to take out - an insurance policy securing the credit, or - another ancillary service contract, if the costs of these services are not known by the creditor they are not included in the APR Related costs Amount of Costs for Using a specific means of payment (e.g. a credit card) The total amount repayable by customer is 5,479.71 which includes initial purchase of 5,000 and a total cost of credit of 479.71. A processing fee of 1%, minimum 1.27 and maximum 6.35 will be charged where payment to a credit card is made by foreign cheque. Any other costs deriving from the credit agreement Conditions under which the above mentioned costs related to the credit agreement can be changed Costs in the case of late payments Missing payments could have severe consequences (e.g. forced sale) and make obtaining credit more difficult. Annual Fee: 76.18 Government Stamp Duty: 30.00 Copy Statement Fee: For the 1 st page of each individual statement: 3.80 for each subsequent page of statement: 2.50 Bank of Ireland reserves the right at all times to vary any or all applicable interest rates, fees or charges by giving notice to you by whatever means the Bank deems appropriate in its discretion. In general where the variation is to your benefit the Bank may implement the variation with immediate effect and notify you thereafter. The Bank will notify you of any interest rate change in advance. You will be charged the following for missing payments in addition to normal interest; Late payment fee: 7.50 Unpaid cheques / direct debits / standing orders: 3.17 Overlimit Fee: 7.50 Failure to maintain monthly minimum payments may result in your card and the card(s) of additional cardholders being declined for further authorisations and no longer accepted for purchases or for use in any ATM. 3

4. Other important legal aspects Right of withdrawal You have the right to withdraw from the credit agreement within a period of 14 calendar days. Early repayment You have the right to repay the credit at any time in full or partially. Consultation of a database The creditor must inform you immediately and without charge of the result of a consultation of a database, if a credit application is rejected on the basis of such a consultation. This does not apply if the provision of such information is prohibited by European Community law or is contrary to objectives of public policy or public security. Right to a draft credit agreement You have the right, upon request, to obtain a copy of the draft credit agreement free of charge. This provision does not apply if the creditor is at the time of the request unwilling to proceed to the conclusion of the credit agreement with you. If you cancel the credit card agreement, your purchase / payment insurance, if any, will also be cancelled. If you wish to cancel your card protection insurance, if any, you will need to contact Homecare Insurance Limited at PO Box 3899, Dublin 1. You may terminate the credit card agreement at any time without penalty by sending a notice in writing together with your credit card(s) cut in half vertically to Bank of Ireland Credit Cards, PO Box 1102, Dublin 2, and repaying any balance then outstanding on the account including any amount subject to an Instalment Plan. The Bank s relations with you are governed by Irish law. The credit agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland have jurisdiction in any matter arising from it. Information and contractual terms will be specified in English. With your consent, we intend to communicate in English during the duration of the credit agreement.
