Employee Online SunGard BusinessPLUS Employee Online (EO) is a web-based system designed to provide employees with improved access to their records. The interactive nature of Employee Online enables end users to have better access to, and greater input into their employment records. Access and Logging In To access the Employee Online web-based system: 1. Open your Internet Explorer web browser to the Erie Public Schools web site @ http://www.eriesd.org. 2. Once the site has successfully opened, click on the Staff link. 3. From the Staff Portal Page, scroll down until you see the Employee Online link on the left- hand side of the screen. 4. Left-click on the Employee Online link to access the login page. Note: You must use Internet Explorer to access the SunGard BusinessPLUS online software. The system does not work properly with any other browser. To log into the Employee Online web-based system: 1. Enter your 7 character Employee ID for your Username (example E002323). 2. Enter your SSN for your Password (DO NOT use hyphens when entering your SSN - example 123456789). Note: Once you have successfully logged into the Employee Online system, you will be prompted to change your password. By default, the Message Page will appear once you have successfully logged into the Employee Online web-based system. A site map for Employee Online will be located along the left-hand side of the screen. The site map is organized into broad groups of related functional areas. To navigate through Employee Online, click on one of the bulleted items in the site map to proceed to a specific area of interest. EO Home Message Page This link will return you to the default message board page. Employee Directory This page allows you to search for employees based on search criteria such as names, telephone numbers, locations, and e-mail addresses. Personal Information Home Address From the Home Address page, employees can view home address information, contact information, birth date, and hire date. Although this section is currently read only, employees will eventually have the ability to modify and update this information. Emergency Info The Emergency Contacts page displays all of the emergency contacts for the employee that the District currently has on file. Although this section is currently read only, employees will eventually have the ability to modify and update this information. Family Information The Family Information page displays all of the family members for the employee that the District currently has on file. Although this section is currently read only, employees will eventually have the ability to modify and update this information. Information Technology Erie Public Schools 3

Pay Information Leave Tracking The Leave Tracking page provides the employee with information related to the balance of vacation days, personal days, sick days, and float days. To view detailed information about your leave of absence days: 1. Click on the drop-down arrow to the right of Leave Type. 2. From the menu that appears, click on the leave type you wish to view. 3. If you would like to change the number of years you want to appear in the result, click on the drop-down arrow to the right of Years of Details (the default value is 1 year). 4. Click Submit. The results will list the date(s) of any leave time accrued and/or time used. The employee s Current Balance of any leave time will also appear. Note: Under the Code section in the results, any entry ending with ACC is leave time that has been accrued. Entries ending in TIM are leave time that has been used. Direct Deposit The Direct Deposit page shows the user details for directly depositing their paycheck with a bank. Although this section is currently read only, employees will eventually have the ability to specify a flat amount or a percentage of each check to be deposited into one or more specific accounts. To view additional information about a Direct Deposit account, click on the link for a specified account under the Bank Name section. This page will show additional information including Bank Info, Account Info, and Deduction Type. Deferred Comp The Deferred Compensation page lists any requests for changes in pretax deductions. Information provided includes the type of deferred compensation, the vendor, and the amount of the deferment. Information Technology Erie Public Schools 5

Check Stub The Check Stub page will list the employee s recent paychecks. Information listed on the Check Stub page includes the check date and check number. If you would like to view a specific check stub, click on one of the links under the Check Date section. To print a check stub: 1. Click on the PrintView button at the bottom of the page. 2. From the Print window that appears, select the printer where you want to print the check stub. 3. Click Print. Information Technology Erie Public Schools 6

Tax Info The Tax Info page allows the user to view both Federal and State tax filing status. Although this section is currently read only, employees will eventually have the ability to update filing status as well as adjust the number of declared dependents and additional withholding amounts. To download a W-4 form, click on the CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD W-4 FORM link. The link will open an editable PDF document in a new window. What If The What If page allows users to try different scenarios and see how they might affect take home pay. This is not intended to be exact, but it should give an idea of the affect of changing base pay, pretax deductions or federal and state tax status. The What If page requires that you first create a gross baseline dollar amount. To do this you need to either leave the Gross Baseline field blank, causing Employee Online to use your current payroll information, or you may manually enter one yourself. 1. Enter a Gross Baseline dollar amount (or leave it blank to use current payroll information). 2. Click on the Create Baseline button to create a gross baseline to see the What If scenario. 3. From the new screen that appears, enter the What If values you would like to change. 4. Click the Submit button. The result will show an estimated amount of net change in your paycheck. Click on the Reset button to clear any manually entered What If data. Information Technology Erie Public Schools 7

W2 Info The W2 Info page sole purpose is to list the employee s W2 form and allow the user to view and/or download the document. The W2 document(s) will only appear if the employee has a pay history. Job Information Current Job The Current Job page displays information related to present job positions. Historical Jobs The Historical Jobs page displays jobs the employee held in the past. To view the details of any previous position, click on the link under the Position section. Information Technology Erie Public Schools 8

Benefits Insurance The Insurance page shows detailed information on employee Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. To view the details of a coverage type: 1. Under Coverage Type, click on one the link that corresponds to the coverage in which you want to view. 2. From the Choose Insurance Benefit page that appears, click on the link under the Plan Name section that corresponds to your current plan. The Update Insurance Benefits page that appears will show the employee detailed information on their current plan, including the plan type, employer cost, employee cost, and covered dependents. Reimbursement The Reimbursement page contains records associated with Medical Flex or Dependent Care plans. Information Technology Erie Public Schools 9

Retirement The Retirement page contains information related to certain retirement benefits. To view details of your retirement benefits, click on the RETIREMENT link under the Coverage Type section. The Update Retirement Benefits page that appears will show the employee detailed information on their current plan, including the plan name, description, and employee cost. Other Benefits The Other Benefits page contains information intended for those items that do not fit into any of the previous benefit categories. Dependent Coverages The Dependent Coverages page provides a view of all benefits that are currently active for the employee and that have been setup to be sensitive to which dependents are covered.
