Adding a Producer (Advisor s name) This sheet will show you how to set up your advisor profile to include your name and contact information on the illustration reports before you begin an illustration. 1. Click the Tools button and select Producer Management. 2. Click the Add button. 3. Enter Advisors first and last name. The other information is optional. 4. You can select the Product, Concept and Global tab to change your defaults regarding certain products. Click on OK. 5. Now you may select the Producer/Advisor of choice and click on Logon. Note: Always double check the current producer to confirm you have the correct one. Click on OK.
Creating a report and setting report defaults This sheet will show you how to display your Illustration Report with the pages you have selected. It will also show you how to set it as a default, so that every time you run an illustration for this product the same pages will be displayed. 1. Click on Report Selection icon. 2. Select all the pages you wish to include in your new report. 3. Select the language and the durations you wish as your default. 4. Add the new report by clicking on Add. 5. Enter new report name. 6. Click OK. 7. Select the report you wish to set as the Default Report.
8. Click on Set as Default. 9. Click Close.
Illustrating an additional product for the same client This sheet will show you how to run an illustration for the same client with a different product without having to re-input the client s information. It will transfer over. 1. Click on File (top left). 2. Select Duplicate Document. 3. The screen will appear the same, but a new document has been created. 4. Make the desired changes. To switch back and forth between the two documents: 5. Click on Window. 6. Select the illustration you would like to navigate to.
Underwriting requirements This sheet will show you how you can add the underwriting requirements to the end of your illustration report. Or it will show you how you can quickly see the underwriting requirements list without the whole report. 1. Click on Report Selection icon. 2. Click on Appended Documents tab. 3. Select Requirements List. 4. Click on Preview. 5. On report, press Page Down on your keyboard to Requirements. OR 1. Click on Underwriting Requirements icon. 2. Select Show List to view underwriting requirements.
Commissions page This sheet will show you how you can add the commission page to the end of your illustration report. Or it will show you how you can quickly see the commission page or First Year s Commission without the whole report. 1. Click on Report Selection icon. 2. Click on Appended Documents tab. 3. Select Commission Page. 4. Click on Preview. 5. On report, press Page Down on your keyboard until the Projected Compensation page. OR 1. Click on First Year Premium/Changers icon. 2. Click on Dollar Sign icon to view projected commission. Projected Compensation page or estimated First Year Commission will display.
Ratings This sheet will show you how to add your client s mortality rating or your client s additional cost of insurance. 1. Click on the Additional Premium/Charges (Ratings) icon. 2. For CII: Enter Additional Cost of Insurance, not Mortality Rating. Example: CII, 25% Additional Cost of Insurance. Enter 25 under Additional Cost of Insurance. 3. Click OK.
Running a payout annuity quote using the online tool. 1) Go to www.sunlife.ca/advisor. Click on Payout annuity illustration found in Tools & Illustrations 2) Click on Continue found on the bottom of the page 3) There are 5 steps to running the illustration. Step 6 is optional. Step 1) Select Payout Annuity, enter your name and select Single or Joint. Click on Continue. Step 2) Annuitant Information: Fill in the fields (First/Last name, DOB, Gender) and click Next
Step 4) Desired income details: Fill out premium details (Source of premium, Source Institution, Amount of Premium ($), Annuity type, etc.) and click Next. Step 5) Annuity details: Select and change annuity details. Click on Calculate. Step 6) If you are running a Personal Insured Annuity, you will need the annuity income amount and the planned premium amount of the universal life illustration. You can choose to click on Illustrate to produce the illustration.
