The Joint Programme at a glance The ACA CTA Joint Programme is a unique and efficient route for your students to specialise in tax. It offers them the opportunity to achieve two prestigious qualifications while working, the ACA and CTA. Designed to maintain the rigorous standards of both ICAEW and CIOT, this is a fast-track route to becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser. By following the programme, your students could qualify for membership to ICAEW and CIOT in as little as three years. Getting started Entry requirements Your students can sign up to the Joint Programme on the first day of their ACA training agreement, or simply join partway through, providing they meet the following requirements: ACA students must not have completed the Professional Level Business Planning module; and CTA students must not have completed the two CTA Advisory Papers or the CTA Advanced Corporation Tax Advisory Paper. They simply need to: 1 Register as an ACA student with ICAEW at icaew.com/studentregistration Tuition and study options Online, distance and classroom study is available for all of the ACA modules. Tuition is available for all of the CTA exams. The tuition providers for each specialism are listed below: Taxation of major corporates Kaplan Financial and Tolley Exam Training 2 Register as a student with CIOT at tax.org.uk/aca-cta Students will be asked to provide CIOT with their ACA student number as confirmation of eligibility to register as a CTA student.
