Paragon Global What s New Guide (Release 13.0) 5 About this guide This What s New guide provides information about the enhancements and changes included in Paragon Global, Release 13.0 including: Short Person Maintenance - e-mail address added to short person maintenance window. PCA system parameters - The descriptions of PCA (Pathways Compliance Advisor) system parameters has been changed to MCA (McKesson Compliance Advisor) for product rebranding. Add the ability to share filters for reports. We should allow changes at run time to the filter but do not allow a user to change another user's filters. This work item includes rebranding of McKesson products. Option is added to color code the Visit Status column in Registration (and other apps) for those visits that moved from Bad Debt to History. System messages have been added about ICD-10 Begin Date, ICD-9 End Date, and Insurance ICD-10 Start Dates. Resources Build times Where indicated, there may be build required for the implementation of the enhancement. Extra time should be allotted to incorporate any Reference Master updates/changes or other build requirements prior to testing and using these enhancements. 6 Paragon Global What s New Guide (Release 13.0) E-Mail address added to Short Person Maintenance window Short Person Maintenance - e-mail address added to short person maintenance window. 1. Log on to Medical Records and select Abstract Maintenance. 2. Select a person from the Person/Visit Selection window by highlighting and double clicking on the Person name. 3. Click on the Employer/Relationship/Caregiver tab in Person Maintenance and add a new relation. 4. Click the Person Search button. 5. Click the New Person button. 6. Enter the required information (bold fields). 7. Click in the E-mail Address field. Result: The E-mail Address List window opens. 8. After entering the e-mail address, the primary email address will display in the email address window on the Person Maintenance window. 9. Verify that the primary email address will also appear for the new person in the Person Maintenance screen. PCA changed to MCA PCA system parameters - The descriptions of PCA (Pathways Compliance Advisor) system parameters has been changed to MCA (McKesson Compliance Advisor) for product rebranding. 1. Log on to Paragon Reference Masters. 2. Click the Common icon on the main application window. 3. Select System Parameters from the pop-up menu that appears. 4. Find the PCA system parameters and verify that they all now have MCA (instead of PCA) in the descriptions. (The system parameter names/ids will remain the same.) Paragon Global What s New Guide (Release 13.0) 7 Ability to share filters for reports The ability to share filters for reports is added. Allows changes at run time to the filter but does not allow a user to change another user's filters. Note Patient Management is used as the example. These steps should be executed in the following examples. Emergency Department Fixed Assets General Ledger Laboratory Materials Management Medical Records MR Transcription OR Management 1. Log in to Patient Management > Reports > Miscellaneous Reports. 2. Select a report. 3. Click the Filter button. 4. Enter and save a filter. 5. Log out of Patient Management. 6. Log into Patient Management as a different user. 7. Go back to Reports > Miscellaneous Reports. 8. Select the same report as before. 9. Click the Filter button. 10. Click the Import Filters button. 11. In the Login/Name window, you should see the login name with which you created the filter. 12. Click on the login name. 13. When the login name is selected, the filters that user created should appear in the Filter window. Note You can Ctrl-Click or Shift-Click in the Login/Name window. When you do, all of the filters for all selected logins should appear in the Filters window. 14. Click on a Filter. The details of that filter should appear in the bottom window. 15. If you click OK, the details of the filter are passed back to the Report Filter window. 16. At the Report Filter window, the filter data acts as if you had entered it manually: You can add, edit and delete qualifiers. Test that this entire functionality works as expected. 17. You can also save the new filter data as a filter for the current user. Note that the Save Filter window will not be prefilled with the imported filter's name. 8 Paragon Global What s New Guide (Release 13.0) McKesson product rebranding This work item includes rebranding of the following McKesson products: Horizon Patient Folder (HPF) to OneContent Patient Folder Pathways Compliance Advisor (PCA) to McKesson Compliance Advisor (MCA ) This rebranding project includes changes to user-viewable window titles, labels, buttons, menus, message boxes, logs, report names, and supporting end-user documentation. This project does not include changes to system parameters (other than system parameter descriptions), database fields, code references, or other internal references. Notes: 1. PCA_TEMP_FOLDER is a system parameter; therefore, it is not being changed. (The C:\Temp\PCA folder is set up by the user.) 2. The following entries in the Paragon.ini file are not changing: PCA_BYPASS=ON PCA_LOG=OFF 3. Job Stream (step/job) names will need to be modified with correct branding by customers. (Your site may have named some jobs differently from other customer sites.) 4. Changes to Paragon Application Security and WebStation for Forms will be addressed by future Paragon work items. 5. Paragon Clinician Hub* references to HPF will be changed with future development. *Currently in the 13.0 Pilot development cycle. Paragon Global What s New Guide (Release 13.0) 9 Color code option for the Visit Status column in Registration An option is added to color code the Visit Status column in Registration (and other apps) for those visits that moved from Bad Debt to History. 1. Open any application that has the Person/Visit Selection screen. 2. Select the name of a person that has visits in History status that were previously in Bad Debt status. 3. On the visit display, the status of History should be red. System messages System messages have been added about ICD-10 Begin Date, ICD-9 End Date, and Insurance ICD-10 Start Dates. Prerequisites Complete the upgrade to the applicable Paragon release associated with this work item (12.0.995, 12.1.2, or 13.0.0). 1. On the applicable server, access SQL Management Studio and enable the mck <database_name> - ICD10 Verification SQL job. Note: The job is scheduled to execute at 6:00 AM each day. To test this work item, set the schedule frequency every ten minutes to generate the alerts for verification. 2.
