Speakers Profile Maslinda Masseri Executive Director, Corporate Tax Maslinda is well-versed in Corporate Tax and Goods and Services Tax (GST) laws and has knowledge in tax planning, tax consulting and compliance services, as well as tax due diligence. Her vast experience also includes structuring of mergers and acquisitions, and tax advisory relating to investing locally and abroad. Chang Mei Seen Executive Director, Global Transfer Pricing Services Mei Seen plays a pivotal role advising multinational companies on transfer pricing issues in compliance with the Malaysian transfer pricing guidelines and TP Rules. She was involved in the first application of a bilateral Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) with the Malaysian Government, providing counsel to the Inland Revenue Board ( IRB ) on areas of concern that taxpayers may have on APA applications. Simultaneously, she has been assisting clients during transfer pricing disputes with the IRB. Dato Tan Sim Kiat Advisor, GST Formerly a Director of Customs in the GST Division of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) for over 34 years prior to retirement; Dato Tan s expertise spans across GST, Customs, Service Tax, Excise, Sales Tax and Indirect Tax. As a pioneer in the GST project team, he was actively involved in the consultation, research, development, formulation of the concept, process, procedure, promotion and implementation of GST in Malaysia. Dato Tan regularly briefed the Minister of Finance and often frequented Parliamentary sessions which discussed and debated the GST legislation and issues. Ng Sue Lynn Executive Director, Indirect Tax Proficient in both corporate income tax and GST, Sue Lynn assists her clients on GST implementation, advisory, compliance as well as health checks. She has also guided clients on the Price Control and Anti- Profiteering Mechanism as a result of the introduction of GST. She has advised numerous leading international and locally headquartered multinational companies.

Speakers Profile Soh Lian Seng Executive Director, Tax Risk Management Lian Seng leads the Tax Risk Management group in Malaysia and is also the Head of the Korea Business Practice with KPMG in Malaysia. With 25 years of experience in tax, he is proficient in handling corporate tax assignments, specializing in advising local and multinational corporations on tax audits and tax investigations. He has represented Malaysian taxpayers during tax audits, investigations and dispute resolution hearings before the IRB. Chong Chen Kian Partner, Audit An Audit Partner of KPMG in Malaysia with over 15 years of experience including 2 years experience with KPMG in the UK; Chen Kian has audited numerous public listed and multi-national companies. He provides accounting advisory services such as accounting framework conversion and accounting standard implementation projects, and reporting accountants work for capital market transactions. Chen Kian has a wide range of industry experiences, which includes oil and gas, power, trading, manufacturing, construction and agriculture sectors. He is a member of both MIA and MICPA, and is a fellow member of CPA Australia. Alvin Gan Executive Director, Head of Digital Alvin leads the IT-enabled Transformation (ITeT) practice at KPMG in Malaysia. He is also spearheading the implementation of Digital Strategy across the firm and is a member of the Technology Committee at the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Alvin has over 20 years of experience providing strategy and technology-advisory services to clients across multiple sectors and industries. Specifically, in the areas of Data Governance and Business Intelligence (BI) and development of IT Strategic Blueprints that focuses on digitalization via emerging technology. In the digital information space, Alvin has worked closely with CIOs and technology leaders to harness technology disruption and more effectively manage resources to drive agility and improve business performance. Meling Mudin Executive Director, Advisory Meling leads the delivery of cyber security advisory services; including assistance to clients on understanding, prioritizing and managing their cyber security risks in order to take control of uncertainty, increase agility and turn risks into advantages.
