Welcome to Employee Self-Service! Employee Self-Service (ESS), is a secure, web-based resource where employee partners can view and update/change their personal payroll, benefits and address information. To Access ESS: Login to The Bridge. Under the Employee Resources tab, select API Links on the left-hand side of the screen. Under API HRP Employee Self-Service Links (either facility). Log into ESS using the same user name and password that is used to enter The Bridge. 2
ESS Home Page: From the ESS home page, employee partners are able to access information within the Employee, Benefits, and Payroll tabs. NOTE: Please be sure to Sign Out when complete, as to ensure privacy of employee partner confidential information Employee Tab: 3
Personal Information: To change/update employee partner information such as name, address, phone number, and email address, select Personal Information. NOTE: Be sure to click Save at the top right corner to save any changes Personal Contacts: To change personal contact information, select Personal Contacts. Employee Partners may add as many personal contacts as needed. 4
Benefits Tab: Benefit Plans: Benefit Plans include basic information about your plans, such as medical, dental, life insurance, and retirement, that you can view. For example, you can see whether you are enrolled in a plan, when your coverage or participation is in effect, and our contribution. NOTE: Some benefit changes will require additional documentation; the Benefits Manager or someone from the Human Resources department will contact you for that information, if applicable. View your Benefit Plans: Plans that you are currently enrolled in appear in the grid 5
To Change 403B Percentage (%) Contributions: Select Benefit Plans. In the drop down field at the top, select 403B % Election, then select the Enroll button. Click Start to change enrollment percentages. Employee Partners have the option to waive the 403(b) benefit and un-enroll, if currently enrolled. Otherwise, to enroll in the 403(b) benefit plan or to change election percentages, be sure that the 403B GHS option is selected and click Next at the top right-corner. 6
Enter desired percentage to enroll in/change and then click Calculate Deduction to view estimated pay period deductions. Once desired election has been made, click Next at the top right-corner. A summary will appear that shows what currently is deducted and enrolled, along with the new election. Employee Partners are able to print this summary. NOTE: Be sure to click Submit in order for enrollment changes to be fully submitted and changed. Benefit Balances: Employee Partners are able to view their PTO balances. Payroll Tab: 7
Direct Depost: View current direct deposits. Pay Checks: Employee Partners are able to view their past payroll statements and print statements, if needed. Deductions: Employee Partners are able to view deductions that are taken during each pay period, along with the start and end date, if applicable. Earnings: Employee Partners are able to view PTO taken (PTO) accrual along with the YTD dollar amount equivalent, and Regular hours worked within each pay period, along with the bi-weekly (current amount) pay period amount, YTD hours worked, and the YTD amount earned. 8
Taxes: Employee Partners are able to change their withholdings for both or either, Federal and State taxes. Select on which tax to change, and click Edit. Federal Income Tax: 9
