CHOICES FREEDOM LIFESTYLE

Knowledge Comfort Certainty There s a few reason s your superannuation strategy needs a Retirement Prosperity Guide There's a few reasons professionals wealth strategy should include a 'Retirement Prosperity Guide. If you don't, a few negative things happen. You end up aimlessly plodding along and have no clear direction for your retirement no plan of action no real target to aim for just a super fund that you put money into and HOPE for the best. You often watch your nest egg get eroded away by fees and charges most of the time charges that you didn t even know you had. And worse still, your existing wealth creation and retirement strategy just doesn t do the job you thought it would and you fall waaayyy short of the retirement lifestyle you had been dreaming of. It s not what you thought your super would do for you. The Retirement Prosperity Guide has 3 pillars. Know Your Plan Dive Into the Detail Stay On Track Map It Out Make Prudent Investment Choices Utilize Transition to Retirement Hi there, My name s Craig Buntain. I work with busy Professionals who feel like they re not building wealth fast enough and are looking for smarter ways to utilize their Cashflow to make more Money, financially Protect their family, and set themselves up for Retirement. I help take the confusion out of their finances, with tried and tested financial strategies that provide them with peace-ofmind and show them how to create a game plan to have financial abundance (not just security). That's why they have more CHOICES FREEDOM LIFESTYLE. This short guide will show you how. Use Your Cash flow Enhance Investment Options Sensible and Transparent Fees Structure Insurances Correctly Have a Strategy Pay Less Tax Dive into the detail is the second critical step. It changes the way you think about your super and helps you reconnect and take charge of your financial future again! When you get this right, you feel on top of the world [financially] and that in itself helps you make better financial decisions. You ll be that person that everybody looks up to and wants to be like. Holidays, nice clothes, new vehicles, special treats when you retire. When you know the detail & take back control, you end up with the secret ingredient that most people only dream of when it comes to superannuation and retirement the ability to make informed CHOICES! And with the right advice and guidance from a professional that specializes in transitioning people from working life into retirement, you ll get the results you want and live the lifestyle that people envy. Professionals who follow The Retirement Prosperity Guide live with comfort, security and the peace of mind that financial success brings. In fact, financial abundance becomes the norm. Here are the 3 Key Principles you need todive Into The Detail to ensure retirement prosperity:

What Is It? One of the most common complaints I hear from people who come to me for help is this fund didn t perform the way I wanted it to! or I didn t know X about my super! It just makes sense to get a better understanding of your options inside super and with just a little guidance & education, it s amazing the impact that small changes to your investment approach can make to your overall financial/retirement outcome. So What s the Challenge? But here s the thing - hardly anyone - if anyone - makes the effort to get a better understanding of how superannuation & investment strategies work. Ignorance is bliss will not help when it comes to your retirement and how your money is invested matters! How to fix it! The myth is that if I just ignore my super, pay no attention to it and it will work for me is just plain crazy. You can t let apathy or ignorance be a determining factor to your future lifestyle. Your family s future is too important for that! Spend some time. Sit down with someone who understands the technical aspects of super and have them explain it to you in plain English. That way, you can be involved in the decision making process to ensure it works out exactly how you envisage. The Next Step Take the time needed to better understand investment strategies by researching online, writing down questions (no-matter how big or small) and talk to a specialist who will answer all of them for you and more. If you are not satisfied or un-clear, ask again. A good financial planner will have tools and programs to help you understand how your money is invested and why.

What Is It? Fees! Dreaded fees! Everybody hates fees! I hear it all the time. But in reality, paying experts to manage the day-to-day running of your super funds is an inescapable part of the retirement process (unless you go Self-Managed but that still costs you money and people also forget to place a dollar value on their time.). Nothing comes for free but there are some things you can do to ensure you are not getting taken for a ride. Why So Important? Well, it s YOUR MONEY! Every bit counts. The impact on your nest egg can be dramatic if you leave it to chance. Just a one per cent difference can equate to tens of thousands of dollars over a couple of decades. There are a wide range of fees that can be applied to super, both one-off and ongoing. To make matters worse, many super funds are not explicit in their explanations and may also charge things like performance fees to certain fund managers based on returns. How Can I Be Sure? CHECK! Fees are inevitable so knowledge becomes KING. Find out what you are paying and why. Transparency is what you are looking for. Fees are only a real problem if you don t know what they are and/or the people looking after your fund are doing nothing for the fees. Only you can determine if the fees you are paying are sensible and seem fair so take the time to know them. Here s A Tip Using a mix of low cost investment options and those with a track record of outperforming the average after fees can give you a fantastic result. It s all relative so be sure to ask a specialist to list out the pros & cons to help you make the right choice for you. Clients for life

What Is It? Another big one that can affect your retirement prosperity is Insurance (either a lack of it, too much of it or not investing enough to at least cover your premiums). Did you know that you can have some of your important insurances held within your superannuation? And if it s done right, it can have a positive impact on your financial future and cash flow. How Does This Help Me? Many people have retail insurance policies set up outside their super. They are often old fashioned policies with outdated wording and grey areas that can sometimes backfire at the time of claim. Not only that, Life Insurance & TPD are generally NOT tax advantaged by holding your cover this way. However, if it s set up correctly, you could gain some tax advantage by paying for your insurance through your super fund. How Do I Sort This Out? Tax strategies and insurance policy comparisons are tricky and it pays to talk to someone who knows the rules and can align them to your personal situation. Squeeze as much out of the system as you can to give you additional money in retirement. While you re at it, it s probably a great opportunity to re-visit your insurance structure to make sure it s up to date and is keeping up with your changing needs. Something To Think About: If you have an industry or work super fund or old policies you have accumulated over time, you could be paying for insurance that you either don t need anymore, won't actually pay at claim time or don t know you have. This is a serious wealth destroyer when it comes to money being drained from your fund. Insurance cover is critical but set it up properly, know what you need versus what you have and ensure that you have as much tax advantage available as possible. It will pay in the long run.

Retirement Prosperity Why am I talking about this? The reason is simple. Too many Australians are under-funded when it comes to their retirement. They fall short of the lifestyle they worked so hard for. They start planning too late only to have to do twice as much just to achieve the same result. They end up having to rely on government pensions and social security - which is only getting harder and harder to access. I don t want that to happen to you! The Professional's Retirement Prosperity Guide At the start of this checklist, you saw a diagram, which showed how the Dive Into The Detail piece fits into the 3 step Retirement Prosperity Guide. What do I do now? If you want to get certainty about your retirement once and for all (stop thinking about it and start taking action), you need to install the whole Retirement Prosperity Guide into the way you think about your superannuation strategy. Your Next Step The next step is simple. Join me for a 1 on 1 Retirement Prosperity Strategy Session and explore the opportunities available to you. It s the same 90-minute session that I walk my high net worth clients through when we set up their superannuation and retirement strategy. Short, sharp, valuable. 90- minutes focused on you and your retirement to get you on track.
