Dr Rahman, a reputed economist, started his professional career in the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) in 1975. Throughout his professional career of 37 years, Dr Rahman has published on a wide range of economic issues. Dr Rahman obtained his Ph.D. and M.A. Degrees from Stanford University and M. A. in economics from Vanderbilt University. Dr Fouzul Kabir Khan Dr Fouzul Kabir Khan obtained his PhD in Economics from Boston University. He was Secretary, Power Division, Government of Bangladesh, and the founder Chief Executive Officer of Infrastructure Development company (IDCOL), a company jointly created by the World Bank and the Government of Bangladesh. The company administered large infrastructure projects e.g., power generation, telecommunication, port, toll road, water, etc. Dr Khan also pioneered the fastest growing solar home systems (SHS) program in the world (4 mil units).
