Isaac, Community Development Coordinator, made a PowerPoint presentation (Attached) and answered Council s questions. B. Symes presented Council with the trophy for Winner Large Category. PRESENTATIONS There were no presentations. VIII. BUSINESS A. Third Quarter Financial Variance Report J. Cannon, Director, Finance, made a presentation. J. Cannon and I. Sasyniuk, General Manager, Corporate Services, answered Council s questions. MOVED by Councillor T. Lazowski that Council receives as information the Financial Variance Report to September 30, 2017. B. Caring Community Initiative Update D. Brock, Director, Family & Community Support Services, made a PowerPoint presentation (Attached) and answered Council s questions. Council commended D. Brock, and her staff, for the amazing job they have done supporting the community during the tough three years since the oilfield industry crashed. C. Public Engagement and Strategic Planning Update for November 2017 MOVED by Councillor L. Hansen that Council amend the Council, Committee-of-the-Whole and Strategic Planning Committee meeting dates as follows: 1. The Strategic Planning Committee meeting dates will be: Tuesday, January 9/18 full day commencing at 8:30 am Wednesday, February 21/18 evening commencing at 4 pm Thursday, February 22/18 full day commencing at 8:30 am Wednesday, March 21/18 half day commencing at 8:30 am

Administration recommends that Bylaw No. 964-2017 receive first, second and third readings. MOVED by Councillor T. Lazowski that Council give Bylaw No. 964-2017 First Reading. MOVED by Councillor B. Hamilton that Council give Bylaw No. 964-2017 Second Reading. MOVED by Councillor B. Beckett that Council unanimously agree to consider Bylaw No. 964-2017 for Third Reading. MOVED by Councillor G.
