Budgeting forms a key part of the module and is designed so that students can prepare budgets up to and including The Master Budget. The module is designed to introduce students to more complex decision making, as well as providing an insight into selected techniques within the modern manufacturing environment. Business graduates working across all sectors may need to make decisions with regard to pricing, allocation of scarce resources, special contract pricing and other performance management areas of their organisation. This module is relevant to both Irish & International students as the skills & techniques are global skills, required in all business settings. Learning Outcomes On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to 1. Establish relevant cash flows for decision making and apply these principles in a variety of business situations. 2. Apply and evaluate a variety of pricing techniques. 3. Identify and discuss the impact of current developments in management accounting on measuring, evaluating and improving organisational performance. 4. Explain and discuss budgetary control, including the budgetary control process, the stages of budgeting and the behavioural issues associated with the budgetary process. 5.
