Hall Information Sullivan Hall is a large hall with a capacity to host up to 280 people by fire code. Clients shall not admit a larger number of persons than stated to ensure public health and safety, (set up determines # seated). With its high arched ceiling, four double doors and plenty of windows, this Hall offers a sense of bright open space. Combined with your rental of Sullivan Hall, is a paved pathway and grassed lanai area for your party use. Free parking. Our Terms and Conditions In order to allow us to continue serving our veterans and the community, we ask that you help us keep our facilities clean, safe, and in good condition for further use. All events held at the Oahu Veterans Center are representative of the Center so please keep in mind that everything you do at your event reflects on its image. Help us maintain a respectful and safe environment during your event so that we may continue to serve you in the future. Below is a list of terms and conditions for renting out our facilities. Please read each statement fully and check next to each statement. All statements must be checked in order to rent our facility, if there are any questions or concerns please notify a member of the staff before the paperwork is processed. I understand that a $300.00 deposit for a large Hall, or a $100.00 deposit for the small Hall is required to reserve the date and time of my event. I understand that this deposit does not apply to the party rental fees. I accept that there will be a charge of $50 should I cancel my party at any time prior to 60 days before my event. If I cancel within 60 days of my event, I will forfeit my full deposit of $300. If your deposit refund check needs to be cancelled due to loss or error on your part, then the bank fee will be deducted from your new deposit check. I understand that all fees for rentals, including tax (4.712%), must be paid in full 30 days prior to the event. If not, then I will forfeit my deposit and the event will be subject to cancellation. I understand that the Oahu Veterans Center Party Monitor is mandatory and is included in your pricing for our event and is non-negotiable. I have read the Party Monitor description and abide by the terms laid out. I understand that the Oahu Veterans Center is first and foremost, a gathering place for military veterans. The Center proudly displays the National, State and POW/MIA flags both outside and inside all Halls. The Sullivan Hall is also home to our Veterans Service Organization flags and all 5 branches of the military. All flags must not be touched, moved or disturbed without permission from the Executive Director. I understand that when available, the field parking will be made assessable for use for parking only. Field parking is not guaranteed; its use is subject to the Executive Director or the Party Monitors approval. I understand that the scheduled event must take place as described on the contract, only during the date and time scheduled (no earlier and no later), and in the space indicated. Changes will be subject to approval of the Oahu Veterans Center Executive Director and Board of Directors. I understand that the rental of the facility includes use of Halls that have been paid for, restrooms, parking lot, and outside designated hall lanai s. The park and basketball court is not included in your rental contract. The park is to be used for car parking only.. Parking is on first-come first-served basis I understand that the Renter must NOT stake the ground to support Bounce Houses, tents or other equipment. Above ground weights MUST be used at all times I understand that Renters are responsible for their own safety, as well as the actions of their invited guests and visitors occupying the facilities, parking lot, and grounds. The Oahu Veterans Center, including its staff and associated members, will not be held liable for any injury or death. I understand that minors must be under adult supervision at all times. I understand that all Renters and their guests will behave in a respectful manner and not in conflict with other Renters, staff, or visitors. I understand that noise must be kept at a moderate level during the event/party.

I understand that music and microphones for the event/party must be turned off by 10:00PM and guests vacate the premises. The facility must be cleaned and vacated by 12:00AM for Friday and Saturday events; and must end by either 4:00pm or 8:00PM and be cleaned and vacated by either 6:00pm or 10:00PM on Sundays, dependent upon when the Sunday rental block starts. I understand that it is the Renters responsibility to cleanup at the end of the Party time. All tables and chairs must be sprayed with cleanser, wiped down and restored to an acceptable condition prior to Renters putting the furniture carefully in their associated carts. The Oahu Veterans Center provides all cleaning materials and trash bags. I understand that Renters and selected cleanup guests must vacate the entire premises at the end of the cleanup process. I understand that it is the Renters responsibility to remove all painters tape, zip ties and string from the inside and outside of the halls. I understand that it is the Renters responsibility to ensure all the flooring used for my party is swept and mopped thoroughly at the end of the Party time. If the lanai is used, Renters must ensure all trash is collected from the grounds I have rented and disposed of. I understand the Oahu Veterans Center is a non-smoking facility, this includes all electronic cigarettes. The Hawaii smoking regulations must be followed at all times. Renters must inform my guests of the whereabouts of the smoking receptacles outside. I understand that alcoholic beverages are subject to applicable regulations and restrictions and that the Renter is responsible for any misconduct or excessive behavior associated with such beverages and may result in forfeiture of your deposit. I understand that commercial uses and sales are not allowed without prior approval. I understand that no animals are allowed on the premises, except for ADA approved companions or by special arrangement. I understand that NO fireworks, sparklers, open flames, candles, or smoke machines are allowed. Fire dances and other activities involving knives, swords, martial arts, and other potentially hazardous actions are reviewed on a case by case basis. The Oahu Veterans Center does not accept any liability. I understand that all water activities are not permitted at the Oahu Veterans Center. I understand that there will be NO outside cooking on the premises. If the Renter needs to cook, they must rent out the Kitchen or BBQ for an additional fee. Please ask for Kitchen rental details. I understand that if the Renter uses helium canisters for blowing up balloons, they need to take the canisters home. Abandoned canisters left on the premises can result in a fine and forfeit of the deposit. I understand that if the Renter wishes to use decorations, Painters Tape must be used. If the paint is pulled off the wall or any damages accrue from decorations, additional charges will apply and forfeiture of the deposit I understand that any stains made to outside sidewalks must be cleaned and washed. I confirm that I have received a copy of the Checklist for Deposit Refund. I have read and understood all of the requirements to receive the deposit back. If these requirements have not been met in full, I understand that I may forfeit the entire deposit based on the circumstances given. The Oahu Veterans Center reserves the right to cancel any reservation with 60-day notice, and return the security deposit. We reserve the right to refuse rental or use of the facilities or grounds for uses incompatible with, or in opposition to the purpose and values of the Oahu Veterans Center I hereby acknowledge that I have read and fully understand ALL statements of this Terms and Conditions. Oahu Veterans Center Party Monitor The Party Monitor has the authority to enforce the terms and conditions of the Oahu Veteran Center; to ensure the safety of the patrons of the facility and their guests. To ensure the property of the Oahu Veterans Center during parties is treated with respect and care. Should property damage occur, the Party Monitor must be notified immediately and appropriate action will be taken. The Party Monitor will be present at the facility during the time of your party. During which time, s/he will either be in the office, patrolling the facility or attending to guests. The Party Monitor must be treated with respect at all times. The Party monitor is not responsible for minors attending your party (see Terms and Conditions). Any issues regarding minors will be brought to the attention of the Renters. The Party Monitor is not responsible for supervising vendors or their equipment. The Party Monitor has the right to check identification cards of guests if alcohol is being consumed and take appropriate action if underage drinking is occurring. The Party Monitor may exercise their right to deny access to the event/or to leave the premises if a guest is too intoxicated by alcohol or drugs. The Party Monitor reserves right to ask guests to leave if they behave inappropriately. If they are uncooperative, the Police will be notified. The Party Monitor is aware of our emergency protocols. If an emergency situation arises, locate the Party Monitor and the appropriate action will be taken immediately. I accept that I am responsible for the treatment of property at the Oahu Veterans Center. This includes but not limited to, the thorough clean-up of the Hall and outside area allocated to me for my event. o Cleaning, wiping and putting away the furniture provided, in a responsible and respectable manner o Sweeping and mopping all floors used by my party, inside and outside o Removing all tape, zip-ties and other items used by my party event o Removing items from the fridge/freezer utilized in the hall and wiping down the inside and outside o Ensuring microphones, if used are returned to the Party Monitor o Ensuring the projector screens are returned to their closed position o All trash, inside and outside areas is collected and disposed of in the trash bins provided. This includes cigarette ends, bottle tops, popped balloons and all other items generated from my party. I hereby acknowledge that I have read and fully understand all statements of the Party Monitor. I accept that I am responsible for property I am renting and should I not abide by the Terms and Conditions, I will forfeit my full deposit.
