Excerpt from Chapter 3 Accident Prevention Store management has to ensure that customers and visitors are not exposed to avoidable accident risks and must ensure the health and safety of coworkers in every aspect related to work. Each store must appoint a Safety Responsible appropriately trained to be responsible for accident prevention tasks 12
continued General and specific accident hazard awareness and accident prevention programs must be in place in every store. These programs must be reviewed and updated at least once a year. All stores must ensure that safety committee meetings are conducted at least 3 times a year and that the meetings are properly documented. 13
