On December 29, 2017 Department of Motor Vehicles notified parking and toll agencies that, effective January 1, 2018, it would increase existing $3 Administrative Service Fee to $4 for recording Notice of Delinquent Parking/Toll Violation on vehicle registration records pursuant to AB 516. The City uses Xerox to process parking citations. The City and Xerox will be passing this fee to violator. The Amendment to Schedule of Fees and Charges is necessary to accomplish this. FISCAL IMPACT Approval of this resolution will allow City to pass $1 increase in DMV fee onto violators, without this City will incur additional $1 as a City expense. There is no cost to City, as additional $1 fee is paid by violator. The delinquency fee will increased from $29 to $30. RESOLUTION NO. 1 8-R.. RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE SCHEDULE OF TAXES, FEES & CHARGES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018 The Council of City of Beverly Hills does resolve as follows: Section 1. The City Council hereby establishes, amends, modifies and fixes, effective January 1, 2018 (except as orwise set forth herein), fees related to special collections processing for delinquent parking citations as follows: For citations issued January 1, 2018 and reafter, fee for a delinquent account for Special Collections processing will be a Department of Motor Vehicle fee of $4.00 and a flat fee of $26.00 for each violation for a total Additional Charge of $30 Said designation shall supersede and prevail over any prior provisions concerning same item in any former resolution, motion or or action of this council, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 79-0-1749 shall also prevail over any inconsistent provisions of Municipal Code. Such fees, permit fees, City services charges and or fees, charges, and required payments for municipal services, use of City property, inspections, enforcement activities or for or indicated purposes, shall be included and incorporated into City s Comprehensive Schedule of Taxes, Fees & Charges. Section 2.
