Engineering Services provides expert professional advice and multidisciplinary specialist support services in highway design and survey engineering, bridge and structural engineering, geotechnical and materials engineering, traffic operations, electrical systems engineering and highway environmental services. Provides value analyses of engineering projects and consultation with other transportation agencies and local governments to ensure that expenditures on the highway system yield a maximum benefit to the motoring public. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Direct the provision of highway design and traffic engineering services and advice for a region and for major projects. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all provincial transportation agencies, municipalities, other ministries, other interest groups, to promote an integrated approach to address transportation issues. Provide leadership and direction to subordinate professional and technical specialists.
