Instructions to Change BB&T Corporation 401(k) Savings Plan Beneficiary(ies) through Workday 1. Go to InSite or BBTBenefits.com and click on the Workday icon. 2. Go to your All About Me page by going to the top left corner of the page. 3. From your All About Me page click on the Benefits Worklet.
4. Click Benefits under Change. 5. Scroll to the Benefit Event Type of Beneficiary Change. 6. Choose today s date 7. Click Submit.
8. Click Open 9. Click Continue through the steps until you see your Beneficiary Designations. 10. You will then edit your Beneficiaries. Adds a Beneficiary Removes a Beneficiary Prompt symbol helps you populate a Beneficiary name. Note: To view the prompt symbol you must click in the box where the beneficiary s name will appear.
11. To View your already listed Beneficiary Persons or Trusts, click on Beneficiary Persons or Trust. 12. If your Beneficiary or Trust is not listed then click Create. 13. Then add your Beneficiary or Trust.
14. Make sure you complete all the necessary sections. 15. Be sure to complete their Contact Information.
16. Fill in your percentages. Q. What is the difference between primary and contingent beneficiaries? A. Primary: In the event of your death, your primary beneficiary(ies) receive the benefit. Primary beneficiary percentages must total 100%. Contingent: In the event you and your primary beneficiary(ies) pass away at the same time, your contingent beneficiary(ies) receive the benefit. Contingent beneficiary percentages must total 100%. 17. Click Continue. 18. Scroll to the bottom of the screen using your outer scroll bar. Check I Agree, then click submit.
