DR. KANWAR DEEP SINGH: Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be (a) whether it is a fact that India's performance in International sports is not upto the mark; (b) if so, the reasons therefor; (c) the reasons for not overcoming the obstacles; (d) the action plans proposed to bring India to a respectable level in sports? SHRI A. VIJAYAKUMAR: Will the Minister of INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING be (a) whether a number of Indian channels have lost their permission to telecast in the country; (b) if so, the details of the channels the reasons for not granting permission; (c) whether many of the channels are using foreign transponders inspite of the expiry of Government's deadline? Implementation of NHARS Scheme *125. DR. V. MAITREYAN: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be (a) whether Government has allocated adequate funds for procurement of cranes, ambulances state of the art mobile medical vans for effective relief rescue measures during the road accidents on various National Highways in Tamil Nadu; (b) if so, the details thereof the funds allocated during the last three years under National Highway Accident Relief Service (NHARS) Scheme in Tamil Nadu; (c) the total length of various National Highways in Tamil Nadu the steps taken by Government to reduce fatal accidents in these NHs, during the last three years, year-wise NH-wise? Deaths due to high carbon emission *126. SHRI RAM NATH THAKUR: Will the Minister of ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE be (a) whether it is a fact that the Indian cities are witnessing an alarming increase in the number of deaths due to high carbon emission vehicular pollution; (b) whether Government is aware of the media reports published recently, stating that excessive carbon emission is making air toxic; (c) if so, the steps being taken by Government to deal with this dangerous situation? Inter-linking of rivers *127. DR. VIKAS MAHATME: Will the Minister of WATER RESOURCES, RIVER DEVELOPMENT AND GANGA REJUVENATION be (a) whether Government is considering inter-linking of rivers if so, the details thereof; (b) whether any feasibility report has been prepared for intra-state river linking in such cases if so, the details thereof, State-wise; (c) the impact of such intra-state linking of rivers on the neighbouring States?

SHRIMATI CHHAYA VERMA: Will the Minister of WATER RESOURCES, RIVER DEVELOPMENT AND GANGA REJUVENATION be (a) the details of per capita availability of water in the country whether it is a fact that it is declining in the country; (b) whether it is also a fact that India is one of the countries where water shortage is acute people struggle to get clean drinking water even now; (c) whether it is also a fact that water in most of the Indian rivers is polluted; Status of bridge on Brahmani river *129. SHRI PRASHANTA NANDA: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be (a) the status of the proposed bridge over river Brahmani near Rourkela; (b) by when it is going to commence the proposed date of completion? Maintenance of roads by NHAI *130. SHRI A.K. SELVARAJ: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be (a) whether it is a fact that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has directed all its officials to strictly monitor road conditions take timely action for repairing the damage stretches; (b) if so, the details thereof; (c) whether damages would be levied appropriate action would be initiated, if a contractor fails to fulfil the contractual operations maintenance obligations; Cost escalation of Polavaram project *131. SHRI KANAKAMEDALA RAVINDRA KUMAR: Will the Minister of WATER RESOURCES, RIVER DEVELOPMENT AND GANGA REJUVENATION be (a) whether Government is aware of the fact that Polavaram project cost has escalated to considerable extent now it has been pegged at ` 57,940 crore; (b) whether Government is also aware of the fact that Government has sanctioned allocated only ` 5,926.63 crore under various Central Assistance Schemes at different points of time; (c) whether Government will allocate a substantial sum as One Time Allocation to complete the project so that it can be completed within the stipulated time. i.e. February, 2019; (d) if so, the details thereof; if not, the reasons therefor? Establishment of campuses of NSU, Imphal in other States *132. SHRI K. BHABANANDA SINGH: Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state: (a) whether a campus comprising of certain institutions colleges of the National Sports University (NSU), Imphal is being established in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh; (b) if so, the details thereof the reasons therefor; (c) whether it is a fact that a large number of outlying campuses, colleges regional Centres of the NSU will be set up far away from the State of Manipur, if so, the details thereof the reasons therefor; (d) the number of students enrolled, the details of schools/departments the

RAGESH: Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be (a) whether the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) has achieved the set targets; (b) if so, the details of the targets set achievement of PMAY during the last three years? Impact of Government advertisements *134. SHRI N. GOKULAKRISHNAN: Will the Minister of INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that Government plans to conduct an independent study to gauge the impact of Government advertisements on people; (b) whether it is also a fact that the said move is aimed at drawing a strategy for judicious use of money for the state publicity works; (c) whether Government has any plan to curtail expenditure on Government advertisements; E-waste management policy *135. SHRIMATI KANIMOZHI: Will the Minister of ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE be (a) whether in recent years India has emerged as a major source of electronic waste generation, thereby posing a serious environmental threat if so, the details thereof; (b) whether Government has evolved any structured policy for the management of e-waste if so, the details thereof; (c) the details of e-waste processing centres operational in the country, Statewise; (d) the measures taken/proposed to be taken by Government to introduce environmental friendly e-waste processing techniques in the country?
