Previous Years Capital Projects Roads/Sidewalks: Leases on Backhoe and Skidsteer Loan on Dump Truck Purchase of enclosed service trailer Continue repairing potholes and excavations from water breaks with hot mix, cold mix, and SB90 where necessary $100,000 worth of sidewalks replaced or repaired throughout the Town where needed most
Previous Years Capital Projects Water/Wastewater: Replaced water line under Highway 36 from 52 Avenue to 46 Avenue (funded only Alberta Transportation did the contracting and work) Planned to replace water and sewer lines, and install a storm system, on 49 Street between 47 50 Avenue however much of Public Works Foreman s time was taken up by the rehabilitation on Highway 36/45 Purchased a new sewer camera Installed a sewer line from the Geleta Park washroom to main sewer line on 45 Avenue

2017 Budget Anticipated Revenue from General Municipal Taxes Year 2016 $1,289,545 Year 2017 $1,289,545 Although there is an increase in School and Lodge Requisitions there is no increase for General Municipal Operations

2017 Capital Projects The Town anticipates to receive the following funds for capital projects in 2017: MSI Capital: $368,345 Federal Gas Tax: $ 77,506 Canada 150 (Infrastructure) $188,475 County of Two Hills $150,000

Roads/Sidewalks and Water/Sewer Infrastructure replacement on 49 Street between 47 th and 50 th Avenue (water, sewer, sidewalk, and road) Replace sidewalk on 52 Avenue from Highway 36 to alley (southside of 52 Avenue). SB-90: Budget of $152,000 to rehabilitate roads by priority. Priority list: 49 Street between 47 50 Avenue 53 Avenue between 47 48 Street 47 Street between 53 54 Avenue 54 Avenue between 47 46 Street 47 Avenue and 45 Avenue if funds permit Lift Station Pump replacement

2017 Taxes SPECIAL LEVIES In order to pay off the debentures for the medical clinic ($400,000) and recreation centre ($350,000) the following rates have been established per property $38.65 and $34.28 respectively. Maintenance tax remains at $1.50 per front foot. This special levy provides funds for maintenance of roads, and water and sewer facilities.
