State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics Uzbekistan in 2019 According to preliminary data, in 2019, enterprises of the republic produced industrial output for 22.1 trillion soums, the industrial production index compared to the same period last year was 106.9 %. The main factor behind the growth in total industrial production was an increase in production in the mining industry and quarrying by 5.3 %, manufacturing - by 7.5%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 4.2 %, water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal - by 13.5 %. Manufacturing industry continued Manufacturing enterprises in 2019 produced products for 15.8 trillion soums, or 71.2 % of the total industry. In the structure of the manufacturing industry, as compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, the share of high-tech industries was 1.2 % (1.5 % in 2018), medium-high-tech - 27.8 % (27.3 %), medium - low-tech - 33.8 % (31.2 %) and low-tech - 37.1 % (40.0 %). continued In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing, repairing, assembling machinery and equipment, manufacturing cars, trailers, semitrailers and other finished products reached 15.9 % (growth by 22.3 % by 2018), the share of the metallurgical industry is 13.8 % (4.4 %), for the production of food, beverages and tobacco products - 10.7 % (20.6 %), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 7.7 % (1.6 %), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 13.7 % (a decrease of 0.7 %). At the same time, in the manufacturing industry, compared to the corresponding period last year, the production of trucks increased by 2.1 times, passenger cars by 38.8 %, automobile engines by 78.1 %, buses by 1.9 times, diesel fuel - by 14.2 %, lead-acid batteries for starting piston engines - by 3.0 %, running wheels, their parts and accessories - by 74.4 %, radiators, noise suppressors and exhaust pipes, couplings, steering wheels, steering columns, crankcases of steering mechanisms and their parts - by 22.3 %. The overhaul of the process equipment allowed us to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and to exceed the production of the previous year in potassium chloride (113.6 % by 2018), carbamide (124.2 %), ammonium sulfate (164.4 %), ammonium nitrate (129.1 %), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (159.8 %), herbicides (161.7 %), caustic soda (176.0 %), other nitrogen fertilizers and their mixtures (in 4.1 t.), mineral fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (1.8 t.). Water supply, sewage, waste collection and disposal The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises amounted to 197.6 billion soums (0.9 % of the total industry). Consumer goods production As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, consumer goods production amounted to 6.1 trillion soums and, compared with 2018, increased by 18.4 %, the share in the total industry amounted to 27.6 %. Industrial Production Index by region in 2019 % compared to 2018 The consistent implementation of measures to increase the industrial potential of the regions contributed to a significant increase in industrial production in Andijan (122.7% by 2018), Samarkand (113.1%), Tashkent (110.3%), Namangan (108.5%) and Khorezm (108.4%) regions. At the same time, there was a significant increase in the production of consumer goods in Andijan (146.4 % by 2018), Khorezm (116.3 %), Surkhandarya (114.1 %) and Syrdarya (111.4 %) regions. At the same time, it should be noted that the largest share of consumer goods was produced in the Andijan region (28.2 % of the total consumer goods of the republic), Tashkent (20.0 %), Samarkand (8.2 %) and Tashkent (7.8 %) regions. The share of small business in the total production amounted to 26.5 %. In terms of regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Tashkent (73.0 % of the total industry of the region), Namangan (58.7 %), Jizzakh (50.1 %), Samarkand (43.3 %), Surkhandarya (36.4 %), Syrdarya (34.4%) and Fergana (27.6 %) regions.
