Day 1 June 6, 2017 Preliminary New York Choir and Band Trip Itinerary June 6-12, 2017 Load bus at Montevideo High School (approx. 5:00 am) Depart on trip! Band and choir clinics at a location on the way to New York Day 2 June 7, 2017 Arrive New York Area and check in to hotel (approx. 3:30 pm) Depart for Chinatown & Little Italy Free time for exploring and shopping in Little Italy and Chinatown. Transfer to Chelsea Pier for DJ Dinner Cruise Boards at 6:30, departs at 7pm (Buffet included) After cruise depart for hotel. (Security will be hired to monitor the halls each night.) Day 3 June 8, 2017 Breakfast at hotel (Included) Depart for St John s the Divine - performance by the Montevideo High School Choir Travel to Radio City Music Hall for a guided tour Travel to Rockefeller Center (home of NBC and other businesses) Lunch (student expense) and free time for shopping at Rockefeller Center, on Madison Avenue and shopping on Fifth Avenue - Cartier, Godiva Chocolate, Gucci, Nike Town, Rockefeller Center, Saks Fifth Avenue, St. Patrick s Cathedral, Tiffany, Trump Tower Transfer to Times Square for dinner on your own. Walk to theater for Broadway Show Return to hotel after the show. Day 4 June 9, 2017 Breakfast at hotel Included Depart for Brooklyn Bridge walk, walk down Wall Street and over to St Paul s Chapel Visit 911 Memorial Go to the top of the One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower) Lunch stop at Time Warner Building. Transfer to Lincoln Center for a guided tour. Possible performance by band outside of Lincoln Center Walking tour of Central Park with the Tour Director Dinner in Times Square on your own. Walk to theater for Broadway Show Return to the hotel after the show. Day 5 June 10, 2017 Breakfast at hotel Included Check out, load luggage (We will not be returning to the hotel.) Transfer to the New Jersey port for a ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty. Meet with everyone for a group photo in front of the Statue of Liberty Free time on Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Please be ready take the designated ferry back to the mainland to lower Manhattan. Arrive in lower Manhattan. Lunch at South Street Seaport or Lunch at Grand Central Station More Sightseeing in NYC until departure time Late afternoon Depart for Sandusky, OH Day 6 June 11, 2017 Arrive in Sandusky. Freshen up, then breakfast 10:00 am 6:00 pm Spend the day at Cedar Point Amusement Park Depart for Montevideo, MN (834 miles/13 hours of straight driving) Day 7 June 12, 2017 8:00 am Arrive High School

One day in Sandusky, OH at Cedar Point Amusement Park Ticket included Motorcoach transportation Tour guide for entire trip Performances and workshop opportunities during tour Admission to two Broadway musicals A dinner buffet and dance river cruise Free breakfast after every morning while in the hotel Trip shirt for use as performance apparel Preliminary Cost of the Trip Package: $990 Additional notes: Students going on the tour must complete the application form and pay the initial $150 non-refundable deposit. There are 14 meals not covered in the tour cost. Student to Chaperone ratio will be about 1:10 to 1:12. Chaperones will be charged a reduced rate for their tour package. Optional traveler s insurance will be available for additional cost. The money raised by students through fund raising events will be credited to their tour accounts and can be used for payments. Money in excess of the total can be taken as spending money for the tour. REFUNDS Due to commitments made to various venders, NO REFUNDS will be possible to any student wishing to cancel. Depending on the nature of the activity, some admission costs may be recoverable, but there are no guarantees. Prior to the final 30 days, efforts can be made to find someone to go as a replacement, but there is no guarantee there, either. Trip cancellation insurance is available to cover unexpected emergencies from any travel agent. LUGGAGE Each participant will be allowed one large lightweight suitcase to go under the bus. Purses and backpacks are allowed on the bus. RELEASE AND CONTRACT As a participant in this performance tour, I waive any/all claims for damages from unseen causes against ISD #129, the trip leaders, and chaperones arising from my participating in this tour including injury, loss, damage, accident, sickness, acts of God, transportation, or from any other service or vendor in connection with this trip. I authorize the trip leaders or chaperones, at their discretion, to place me, at my expense, in the care of a medical doctor or hospital to receive proper medical care if deemed necessary. If it is medically necessary for me to return home, I understand that this will be done in consultation with local medical authorities and parents, and be done at my parent s expense. As a participant I promise to support and uphold the standards of behavior expected of me. 1. I agree to maintain the highest standards of public and private conduct realizing that I am an ambassador of my school while on the performance tour. 2. I will agree to follow the supervision of leaders and chaperons during the tour, and that understanding that this is a GROUP tour, I will remain with the group or within its supervision at all times, and will participate in ALL group activities unless prevented by my health, at which time I will remain in the care of the chaperones. 3. I will not be allowed to have in my possession or to use/consume alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, or any illegal drugs. If I am apprehended having or using such, it will be grounds to be sent home immediately at my parent s expense. If deemed necessary, trip leaders and chaperons reserve the right to search personal effects for such items. The leaders of this tour reserve the right to terminate the participant s tour for failure to maintain this code of conduct, or if it is deemed his/her acts or conduct are detrimental to or incompatible with the interest, harmony, comfort, or welfare of the tour as a whole. If an individual participant s tour is terminated, the participant involved will be sent home at his/her expense. I agree that the leaders reserve the right to make cancellations, changes, or substitutions in emergencies or changed conditions. I am aware that if the trip is forced to be canceled, I will receive a refund of all monies remitted by myself, which have not been submitted for deposits to vendors. Insofar as reasonably possible, further refunds of those deposits will be sought and refunded to me if returned.
