Taos County Survey Survey of 300 Active Registered Voters Performed for the Wilderness Society Prepared by Stephen Clermont/Third Eye Strategies August 22 nd 25 th, 2016 Third Eye Strategies Burke Virginia

Taos County Survey METHODOLOGY The following is a cross tabular report of a poll taken in county of Taos in the state of New Mexico. Drawn from a list of active voters matched phone numbers, this poll contains 300 active registered voters. Voters of all ages and places in the county were interviewed by live callers. Respondents were interviewed between 6:00 and 9:00 pm on August 22 nd through 25 th, 2016. 52% (157) of interviews were conducted on cell phones. The data were adjusted slightly by gender, age, and ethnicity to best represent the distribution of active registered voters. All polls are subject to errors caused by interviewing a sample of persons, rather than the entire population. In 95 cases out of 100, the responses to this survey should be within plus or minus 6.7 percentage points of those that would have been obtained from interviewing the entire population of likely voters. The sampling error for subgroups of the survey will be greater. As with any survey, the release of selected figures from this report without the analysis that explains their meaning could be damaging to Third Eye Strategies and Stephen Clermont. Therefore, we reserve the right to correct any erroneous or misleading release of this data in any medium through the release of correct data or analysis. HOW TO READ THE TABULAR REPORT Always read down; the percentages in all the tables relate to the subgroups under which they appear. For example, on District 1, Table 1, Banner 1, under the heading ETHNICITY - ANGLO the figure 135 indicates the number of Anglo respondents. The TOTAL column listed at the far left reflects the opinions of all survey respondents answering that particular question. Since 2001, the Forest Service has given several of the areas surrounding the Pecos Wilderness a higher level of protection called Inventoried Roadless Areas.
