Welcome! We are proud to bring you the 2017 Boston Hedge Fund Symposium, one of a series of 18 events across the globe and part of our ongoing commitment to the growth and wellbeing of the alternative fund industry. Today, we invite you to engage with a distinguished group of industry and EY thought leaders and listen to compelling commentary on the current state of our business and the disruptive forces affecting it. As in other industries, innovation and disruption are in the spotlight, and while it may be challenging to accept change, change ultimately creates opportunities for those who are willing to embrace it. From strategic priorities to operational efficiency, and from developing competitive advantages in the front office to changing the way managers assess and recruit talent, innovative technologies and advancements such as robotics and big data are expanding the minds and capabilities of today s managers and the industry. All of these advancements raise the question, How will you embrace innovation to illuminate competitive advantages? We hope today s symposium will provide an opportunity to gain invaluable insight and new perspectives, spurring continued dialogue on the ideas and issues that mean the most to you. A warm welcome to all of you thank you for being a part of today s event.
